Haverfordwest / Wolfscastle area
The house is situated in the village of Wolf's Castle, on the west side of the main a40, half way between Fishguard and Haverford West. The cottage has a peaceful village location, perfect for enjoying Pembrokeshire's spectacular coastline, the countryside or visiting the many places of interest in the county.
Pembrokeshire has something for everyone whether you want a leisurely holiday relaxing and sightseeing, or a holiday crammed with activities and sports of every description. The village of Keeston is situated only 10 minutes' drive from the county town of Haverfordwest and the beaches of Newgale, Druidston and Nolton Haven, Without travelling more than 10-15 minutes from Keeston there is a variety of activities to attract most visitors - swim in the sea at Broad Haven, Little Haven, Druidston, Nolton Haven or the vast expanse of 'Blue Flag’ Newgale Sands, famous for surfing, windsurfing and land yachting. You can absorb the history of St Davids Cathedral and the Bishop's Palace, relax at Hilton Court Garden Centre and craft workshops, ride through the surf with East Nolton Riding Stables, experience an evening of Welsh song, dance and laughter at Celtic Corner, walk along the renowned Pembrokeshire Coast Path or visit shops in Haverfordwest, Solva or St Davids.
Visit the Pembrokeshire islands of Skomer and Skokholm to see seabirds such as guillemots and the comical puffins. You could go to Ramsey off St Davids in an exciting, fast rubber rib to see seals, porpoise, dolphins or whales or visit the more sedate monastic island of Caldey off Tenby.
The more adventurous can try some of the various outdoor leisure activities, such as windsurfing, coasteering, kayaking, diving or surfing. Freshwater West, Newgale and Whitesands are all excellent beaches for surfing, popular with local people as well as holiday makers. Families can visit Oakwood, Wales' largest theme park for a day of fun in the Watersplash, the Bounce or Vertigo! If you're not quite up to that, try quad biking, Dinosaur Adventure near Tenby, the Oceanarium, Heatherton, paint balling or the Crystal Maze.
If you prefer more peaceful activities, you could spend a day walking along a stretch of the 186 mile long Pembrokeshire Coast path or in the Preseli Mountains, ride a bike on the Celtic trail, play golf at one of the local clubs, eat in one of Pembrokeshire's many excellent restaurants or visit one of the many unspoilt and peaceful beaches. Visit local craftspeople at work in potteries, woollen mills and studios and buy unique gifts to take home.
