About the home

Situated in the Dordogne area of France, this beautiful barn provides almost 400 square metres of accommodation. The oldest parts of the barn originally formed part of a 12th century monastery. In recent years, the property has been fully refurbished by the present owner and facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool. The barn is being made available for rental during the summer of 2012. The property has three double bedrooms with air conditioning and sleeps 6-8 comfortably. Large, beautifully appointed kitchen with a four oven gas aga, microwave and four ring electric oven. Additional equipment includes fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
This magnificent 17th century dining table is 11 feet long and seats 12.
The balcony is also ideal for breakfast or afternoon drinks.
This room is fantastic with a high vaulted ceiling, oak beams and feature fireplace. It is approximately 80 square metres in size and has 3 sofas, ideal for watching the satellite TV, DVD or listening to the Hi-Fi.
The indoor heated swimming pool, with mosaic tiling, is ideal for gentle relaxation or plenty of fun. Doors lead out from the pool onto a terrace, well equipped with sun loungers, table and chairs.

Further details outdoors:
To the front, the driveway leads through mature trees to the main entrance. To the rear of the property there is about 1 acre of lawn - plenty of space to relax or play games.

The barn is located in the village of Hautefort that is approximately 40 miles from Limoges Airport.

There are some really lovely and local restaurants nearby when youc an try some traditional cusine and experience some of the local culture. The nearest supermarket is around1 mile away. Additional shopping is to be found in the larger towns of Brive, Terrason, Perigeaux and Limoges.
Activities available in the area include tennis, cycling, horse riding, Quad Bike riding, fishing and horse racing (approx 15 miles).
