The kitchen is fully equipped with all mod cons such as dishwasher, large fridge-freezer, microwave and a Rangemaster Elite with a six-burner hob and double oven.

Danish 60s Black-leather sofas, Chrome theatre lights and original Edwardian painting and prints make this room the homely relaxing hangout during your stay. The sitting room is made all the more relaxing with a roaring open fire and an old book from the living rooms library.

Each room is designed to the highest standard. The living room has classic Danish furniture along with old theatre light's illuminating the room's two hundred year old paintings that adorn the walls.

The large kitchen Diner has a beautiful large oak industrial kitchen table and chairs - the perfect setting for any Dickensian dinner party.

The house boasts a Bose Ipod sound dock for music lovers and a 32" HD TV for the avid film lover. We even have a Nintendo Wi for the kids.

Compass House has a small and cozy courtyard that offers the perfect setting for a candle lit evening dinner or that cheeky cigarette.

There are two bathrooms within this spacious house. The master bathroom has it all: Edwardian style free-standing bath, and separate power shower with views over the surrounding Old Town and East Hill countryside.

"Oh my goodness what a house!"

I love the big windows it's so light and roomy. It's funny hearing the seagull's now and again it really does remind you you're by the sea. Also seeing the sea from the window is great and the East hill behind. Now that is a hill worth tackling. When you get to the top the views are stunning.
We had a bit of a dinner party one evening and having the use of some posh cutlery and plates made it feel special. I love the serving dishes they look really old and traditional. Everything matches the feel throughout, the whole house is done in a lovely style kind of mixed between French boutique and traditional English. You really do feel spoilt staying here. Oh and the cooker is great, one of those huge range cookers…great for a dinner party. I love the attention to detail, from leaving spices in the kitchen and candles on the dinning table to wood for the fire. Being so close to the bars and restaurants is brilliant, you don't have to worry about taxi's or long walks getting lost after a few drinks, it's so easy. Plus some places I've stayed in before have been a bit noisy at night when so close to the bars but it's nice and peaceful here.
