Winding your way up the narrow, white painted staircase you are immediately greeted by the sound of the sea. The main living room and kitchen area is open planned, with access to the roof terrace via glass doors that can be fully folded, to create an alfresco feel. The cosy, snug cabin styled bedroom has a porthole window with views to the sea and the comfortably sized bathroom has a feature roll top bath with shower attachment. The soft furnishings are a stylish mix of contemporary and vintage.
A welcome hamper is included. This consists of bacon, eggs, large loaf, museli, butter, jam and milk - all locally sourced, where possible. Special dietary requirements can be catered for. Tea and fresh coffee is supplied too.
Guests please note the property is situated at the top of a 5 storey building (73 stairs) - there is no elevator.
The quirky style of the bedroom means that there is restricted access in and out of the bed. For the majority of guests this adds an element of fun but please hold this mind when placing your booking.

Parking permits maybe purchased at an additional cost of £5 per day. Otherwise there is the alternative of free parking, within a 5-8 minute walk of the apartment.
Check in time is usually from 3pm onwards but if no guests leaving on day of arrival then I'm more than happy to be flexible to allow entry earlier. Keys are to be collected from my shop Bobo Flower and Garden Shop a short distance from the property. If arriving after hours quests will be met outside the property to handover keys etc.
Check out time is by Midday.
The South East England region
The South East of England is rich in history and places of interests offering a wealth of opportunities to explore the region in depth. The South has good links to London and is within easy access to Ashford International Station and the Channel Tunnel.
Hastings is a town of two halves. The modern side offering good shopping facilities and a range of amenities including a library, a sports centre, outdoor tennis courts and a delightful town park with lake fishing, all within walking distance of the main town centre. The Old Town has a rich maritime history and has many tales of smuggling stories of long ago. Some of the medieval houses still have tunnels leading down to the beach which were used by the gangs. Here you can browse around the quirky individual shops or simply enjoy a drink in the numerous eateries on offer. Freshly caught fish can be purchased at the local fish market boasting one of the few remaining beach launched fleets in Europe.
St Leonards offers a slightly slower pace to the hustle and bustle of the new town. Here you can view the many art galleries and the tiny shops selling vintage and pre-loved goods. St Leonards Gardens is well worth a visit to enjoy a quiet stroll in the elegant setting, which is host to open air performances and concerts in the summer months.
