The Christ Church Parish region
The parish of Christ Church is a parish of Barbados at the southern end of the island. It contains the airport, the Sir Grantley Adams International Airport. The main town in Christ Church is Oistins, a major fishing centre and former capital for the parish.
Another notable area is Saint Lawrence Gap, often abbreviated to "The Gap", which is the most lively tourist area on the island. Many of the bars and clubs are well populated by locals and tourists alike.
Hastings, Barbados area
One of the busier areas outside of the main towns, the Hastings area offers a superb array of shops, boutiques, restaurants and cafes; most within walking distance and mainly concentrated along the coast. There are a number of nightclubs in the Hastings area of Barbados and of course many of the hotels offer evening entertainment not only to their guests.
The famous Rockley or Accra Beach is close to Hastings (a short bus journey away), and generally all the beaches in the area are well organised for the whole family to enjoy. Be it a romantic holiday or a family vacation, the Hastings area has something to offer everyone.

There is a free shuttlebus back from the supermarket to the complex upon request.

SHANNELLE barbados 13 May 2009 | Trip type: Friends getaway I really loved it. The people were really friendly. And because it was a small complex, you had time to get to know people who were staying there. I felt very secure there, has the front gate closes at 11pm, and someone is always at the gate overnight. I really liked it, and would definitely recommend it, esp to people on a low budget.

We decided that we would book a trip to Barbados independent of any travel agents this year as we tried to do our trip on a budget. The apartment was very reasonably priced which always makes us apprehensive but it did not disappoint one bit and made a refreshing change for us.
Everything was so clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. We ate at the hotel on a few occasions and all the food that we had was delicious - thanks Pat! The drinks at the bar were also reasonably priced.
We sat by the pool somedays and it was very tranquil, hardly anyone else around. In fact we can't say enough about the place - just perfect!

We would like to compliment everyone at this complex for making our stay so thoroughly enjoyable. What a wonderful experience on leaving our home in Canada to arrive in Barbados and feel that we had not only found a second home but one that was most welcoming and comfortable. The lovely Inn presents itself as an excellent choice for a couple, a single individual or a small family. A joy to stay, "Where everybody knows your name", as they used to say in the TV show "Cheers". The attention to detail we received from the restaurant service through to the daily maintenance of the Inn was exemplary. We will highly recommend the lovely establishment to all.
