High quality self catering accommodation in the picturesque village of Hartington in the Derbyshire Dales. Ideally situated for visiting all the Peak District has to offer. Fantastic walking countryside straight from the cottage, including the beautiful Dovedale with the famous Stepping Stones.
Tissington and High Peak cycle trails within one mile, as is the Manifold Track with the impressive Thors Cave. The stately homes of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are a short drive away. You can visit the spa town of Buxton, or the market towns of Ashbourne, Leek and Bakewell, where it is a must to sample the famous Bakewell pudding.
The cottages are conveniently placed in Hartington within walking distance of the local inns and village stores.. Hartington is a lovely village and has a number of shops for you to "potter" around, or you can rest by the village pond and take in the ambiance of the village.
A visit to the church of St Giles is a must, and there is a permanent display in the Village Hall of old village photographs and history.

Thank you for your review.
I am pleased that you found the cottage so warm and comfortable and convenient for the village facilities. I agree, the log burning stove is lovely to return to after a walk out in the area. Thank you, Lesley & Fred

"Comfortable, clean, child friendly house in a perfect location"
We stayed here last week with our toddler and my mother. It was ideal for our needs. It was beautifully clean with plenty of space for us all and we could shut off the staircase to stop our little girl heading up the stairs. The garden was beautifully kept and there was even a barbeque which we were lucky enough to be able to use as we had glorious weather (not included in the price!). The location was super - just metres from the centre of Hartington, which is a lovely village - but still incredibly peaceful.
