A contrasting National Trust Property is Brimham Rocks where curious rock formations are scattered over some 50 acres on Brimham Moor and provide a great variety of weird and wonderful shapes. Many of the gritty monstrosities suggest all manner of things, including elephants, hippos, bears and mushrooms. Some are said to have associations with the druids and Mother Shipton herself.
At Beningbrough Hall And Gardens you can enjoy the slower place of life by the lily pond. Wander down the pear arch avenue to savour the colours and aromas of the walled garden.
