"Wonderful holiday in beatiful surroundings"

We wanted a" get away from it all holiday" and tthe Old Dairy was the perfect place. The cottage had all the amenities you need and the view from the garden was wondereful. Owners Dawn and Barry were on hand if we needed anything and gave us lots of ideas for places to visit. Timble village is ideally situated for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. Loved it so much have booked again for next year.

"Idiyllic few days in picturesque surroundings"

Enjoyed a totally relaxed few days in The Old Dairy, which is truly a beautiful hideaway. I cannot fault the cottage nor its wonderful hosts. We enjoyed a wonderful meal prepared and served by Dawn on the second night to celebrate my partners birthday. The attention to detail in the cottage and in the service provided was second to none. Whether you want somewhere to relax away from the hustle and bustle or enjoy a variety of walks in the gorgeous surrounding area this is the place to escape. We most definitely will return.

We loved our stay here, Dawn has thought of everything you would need and goes beyond what is required. I just wish we had stayed for longer to explore the area more.

Warm, cosy and delightful sumes up this lovely cottage :). The nicest place we have ever stayed!. Higly reccomended to anyone wanting a couple of days of rest with beautiful scenery. We felt like we were staying at a friends place as Dawn ( the owner) was nothing but kind and made us feel so relaxed...even got us some shopping while she was at the supermarket!. I would love to go back and stay again and have told all my friends and their neighbours about what an amazing stay it was. Thank you timble cottages! x.

"Good for the soul"

This was our second visit to The Old Dairy. As we travelled about a thousand miles to do it this says how much we enjoyed it. My wife and I are older than once we were so we cannot vouch for the walking although it looks wonderful. Having said that there is so much to see by car in the local area that our fortnight flew by.
We treated ourselves to an evening of Dawn's cooking and it was fabulous. Everything was delivered piping hot or cold as appropriate and the used plates were taken away afterwards. Basically all we had to do was lift a wine glass - wonderful.
We would thoroughly recommend a stay at either of Dawn's cottages details of which are at For those of a suspicious mind I promise Dawn did not ask me to put that link in.

"Timble stay"

We had a very pleasant stay at the Old Dairy. The owner was very welcoming and the accommodation was very well appointed and cosy with lovely views over the dale. We spent the week doing a mix of activities - walking, visiting local towns and museums, seeing family and generally relaxing.

It's a pity you have scored the bed and mattress with an average score. The bed usually gets many positive comments as it's pocket sprung and has a Tempur top. I suppose beds are very personal and individual though and we cannot always get it exactly right for our guests.
