The East Anglia / Norfolk region
Norfolk offers unspoilt beaches, saltmarshes, picturesque cliffs, and quaint flint villages. The pretty, popular resorts of Blakeney & Wells form part of the largest coastal nature reserve in England and Wales, where you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of common and grey seals, along with abundant birdlife. Enjoy a cruise on the Norfolk Broads – a fantastic way to see the area and get a glimpse of the abundance of wildlife which inhabits this fabulous landscape.
Families can enjoy the popular tourist resort of Great Yarmouth, enjoy the thrills and spills at Pleasurewood Hills theme park, or roam the cycle paths and sculpture trail at Thetford Forest (not forgetting the‘Go Ape’ high wire adventure centre in the heart of the forest). Cromer is well known for its pier and crabs, or how about Sheringham, from where you can ride on a steam train to the delightful town of Holt, with its specialist shops and charming market place?
The Harleston area
Situated in the beautiful Waveney Valley, on the border between Norfolk and Suffolk, the lovely town of Harleston is within easy reach of both the Suffolk Heritage Coast and the huge selection of charming little towns and villages scattered throughout the countryside. This friendly little settlement hosts a wide range of interesting and unique amenities, such as shops, restaurants, cafés, art galleries and museums. Local produce can be purchased at a weekly market with local game and fresh fish on sale. Country walks, angling, bird watching, antique auctions, Sandringham Castle and the famous Norfolk Broads are all within easy reach, making Harleston a wonderful base from which to explore all that this region has to offer.

Guestbook for 1895 - Willow Brook Cottage
The location of the cottage was superb due to the facilities in Harleston. It was also a good base for exploring the wider area. The cottage's garden was fantastic. The appearance of the cottage from the outside was lovely and the bedroom and living area were also very nice.

,We liked the peace and quiet, also the village was great with lots of shops and places to eat. There was lots to see and do in the area and one week didn't seem to be enough to explore.

,Willow Brook Cottage was in a great location and extremely well equipped. The garden was superb and great for watching the wildlife. Harleston itself is a small market town with many independent shops and good pubs. Magic.
