The North Wales region

Snowdonia National Park is of oustanding beauty and has some of the truly wild places of Britain. There is access to the Llyn Peninsula, Tremadog Bay and mountainous areas which Mount Snowdon stands highest of all. The coastline is made up of sandy beaches, bays and sheltered harbours.

Harlech

Located in the Snowndonia Park, there is access to nearby beaches at Harlech, Portmerion Italianate Village, Harlech Castle and the Ffestiniog Steam Railway in nearby Porthmadog. The vast sandy beaches around the estuary give plenty of choice for days on the beach. There are mountain walks and scrambles suitable for all abilities from the rambler to mountaineer. Rock Climbing at Tremadog is popular and there is an indoor climbing wall at Harlech's sport centre.

The nationally renowned Coed y Brenin Mountain Bike trail is within driving distance. For the Golfer, there are several Golf courses to choose from, including the Royal St David at Harlech and Porthmadog Golf Club at Morfa Bychan.

Due to the sheltered bay, the climate is mild for the region which encourages some unusual plant life as can be seen at Portmerion.

"Beautiful Wales"

Comfortable well sited house with good facilities. Good base for nearby Harlech, Portmeirion and the Llyn Peninsula. Easy access to the estuary nearby with wonderful views of Snowdon. 10 minute drive to Harlech Beach, a huge, sandy, wide beach. Harlech Castle is well worth a visit as is the town. The other side of Porthmadog lies Criccieth Castle also worth visiting.
