CASTELL Y GWYNT IS A BRAND NEW LISTING FROM SEPTEMBER 2013 DUE TO TOTAL REFURBISHMENT.

Castell Y Gwynt is a stylish, spacious and totally refurbished Dormer Bungalow. Positioned in a quiet cul-de-sac in the upper part of Harlech - affords it the most panoramic and magnificent views ranging from the mountains of Snowdon, the Lleyn Peninsula, the beautiful sandy beach at Harlech and Royal St.Davids Golf Course. It faces Criccieth and Portmadog and is just as beautiful at night to see the sun set either over the sea or behind the mountains (depending on the time of year) - and the twinkling lights all around the bay - you won't be disappointed. You can hear the sea - it is that close.

The decking allows extra relaxing area outside and has front and back lawns if you prefer.

Castell Y Gwynt offers appeal for everyone - from families with children to walkers, triathletes and golfers. - Once a B & B for many years attracting visitors from all over the world. Even though refurbished to a high standard, it still has a relaxing homely feel. Take a walk out of the back gate onto the hills beyond or down to the village for a lunch and a pint. There are plenty of challenging hilly routes for cyclists and some of the best Golf Courses around. Snowdon is approximately 45mins away. There is so much to do.

Castel-Y-Gwynt sleeps 8 (with an extra pull out bed 9 if needed). It is also possible to rent the downstairs only (sleeps 4) out of main season.

Ground floor : The house is designed for sociable living: the kitchen leads into the dining and lounge area with full sea views so no one is left in the kitchen should you wish to self cater. Modern kitchen : Oven, Gas Hob, Dishwasher, Microwave, Fridge, kettle toaster, coffee maker. There are two double bedrooms with plenty of hanging space - one with sink. Luxury family bathroom with double shower and toilet and another separate toilet next to conservatory. Utility with Fridge Freezer and Washer, Iron, Ironingboard. The Conservatory is across the back of the house and has further TV/DVD/Videa player and games so the children can have their own space if they wish. There is also a shoe rack and coat stand to use as you enter the property.

First Floor: Large family bathroom with toilet, separate shower and bath. Extra large family room containing 1 x double bed, 2 x single beds and 1 x pull out sofa bed if required. There is also ample room additionally for a travel cot to be erected if necessary.

There is ample parking for several cars and a garage for golf trolleys, bikes and muddy boots etc.

There is a full sized table-tennis table set up in the garage and 2 x kayaks for those who are experienced with clearance of the owner. We also have two mountain bikes.

The property is Gas central heated and has wi-fi access.

One set of Linen and towels are provided.

Arrivals after 3pm and Departures by 10am.

Although a small town - it has a lot to offer and many shops to wonder around in the High Street.

"Excellent accomodation in a beautiful costal village"

Myself and a group of friends stopped at Castell Y Gwynt in June 2013. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were impressed with the high spec décor and standard of the property. Each room is comfortable and spacious, the most impressive been the open plan living/dining area, from which breath taking views across the bay can be enjoyed. There is a large decking area with seating and enough parking if a group of you want to visit. In Harlech there are a few nice coffee shops, restaurants and a pub which we visited a few times during our stay. The locals are very friendly and food and drink prices are reasonable. The walk to the beach from Castell Y Gwynt is enjoyable through the village and alongside the golf course. The beach itself is relatively easy to access and was quiet considering we visited in summer months. There is also a beautiful castle on route to the beach which I believe is only a small fee to enter. During our time in Harlech we also took a trip to the neighbouring town of Barmouth which is busier than Harlech and has more shops and bars. Although we had a great day there and would definitely recommend a visit my friends and I preferred Harlech as it is quieter and more scenic. If you are after comfortable living accommodation within which you wish to self-cater as well as access amenities easily set on the beautiful welsh coast I cannot think of anywhere better. I would definitely recommend a visit and plan to go back in the future.

"Ist class accomodation with magnificant views"

A wonderful weekend the house has everything you could need for a delux stay. views from the property are glorious as are the walks ( some steep hills though ). Local wine bars and resturants and pubs were good we sampled most of them !. This is in a great spot for exploring the local area - highly recommended.
