The Studio is in the village of Harbertonford. It's a great place to stay for exploring Devon and the South Hams. The market town of Totnes with its excellent shops, restaurants and cafes is less than 10 minutes drive with Dartington Hall and Schumacher college just a couple of minutes further on.
Dartmouth and Dittisham, a great spot for sailing, crabbing, boat trips or visiting Agatha Christie's house Greenways, are a few minutes drive. Many of South Devon's best beaches, such as the award winning Blackpool sands and Beesands are also within a short drive. The open moorland of Dartmoor is also close by.
There is a very bright, spacious open plan living space with a wooden floor and with French windows giving onto a private, and very sunny terrace with a wooden table and four chairs that recline.
The main living room has a galley kitchen with gas hob, electric cooker, fridge, a toaster and a kettle. There is an old wooden dining table with chairs and a seating area with a flat-screen TV .
The 4 bedrooms are all off the main living area along with a luxury wet-room bathroom with walk-in shower, wash basin and lavatory and a separate lavatory and wash basin next door. There is one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and two single rooms.
The cottage is on a very quiet road with no through traffic but just 150 yards from Harbertonford's excellent village shop. Three of Devon's finest Dart riverside pubs: the Ferry Boat Inn at Dittisham, the Waterman's at Cornworthy and and the Maltsters Arms at Tuckhenhay are within a few minutes drive. And the 13th Century Church House Inn at Harberton, literally the next village, is also well worth a visit.

About this location
The Devon region
Situated in the South West of England, Devon is a great area to visit known for its beautiful hilly countryside, including Dartmoor, stunning sandy beaches and characteristic narrow, high sided Devon lanes. It's a great place for all kinds of outdoor activities including walking, cycling, swimming, sailing, fishing, horse riding and golf. However it also has some amazing old houses and country houses to visit. It's also know for its fabulous old pubs many dating back 500 years or more.
For a market town of just 6000 people, nearby Totnes has an awful lot going on. There is a big live music scene. Dartington Hall and Schumacher College are just a couple of miles up the road and people visit Totnes from all over the world because it is is the first transition town see www.transitiontowntotnes.org/.
It is also within a short drive of South Devon's loveliest beaches and is only a few minutes drive from Dartmoor too. The river Dart runs through Totnes and has some amazing wild swimming spots see www.wildswim.com
