Home description
As frequent travellers ourselves - with and without our family - we are aware that there aren't many places that are decent, clean and affordable in London, let alone one that is so close to a tube station and the major transport links. New River Village is approximately five minutes away from Hornsey mainline station, which takes 16 minutes to travel to Moorgate Station. Turnpike Lane underground station, located on the Piccadilly line, is a 10 minute walk away, while Stansted airport is approximately 30 miles away.
The apartment has been designed with today’s modern lifestyle in mind - intelligent use of interior space together with considered thought for the outside areas.New River Village is a 15 acre development, on a former Thames Water site in Hornsey with 400 metres of river frontage.
It is ideal for up to 4/5 people.

The South East England / Greater London region
New River Village nestles in the shadow of historic Alexandra Palace. Within walking distance of Crouch End and Muswell Hill and Wood Green.
There are a series of 14 landscaped spaces which could be described as outside rooms for living in. With a contemporary urban park, concierge service, Pumphouse dining bar, fully equipped gymnasium and Royal Academy art gallery, New River Village is definitely the place to relax and unwind.
Every element of life at New River Village has been considered. Whether it’s dinner at the award winning Pumphouse bar and restaurant, toning up in the gym or organising dry cleaning with the concierge, it’s all taken care of.
North London / Crouch End area
Alexandra Palace with its Ice Rink and park is minutes walk away. There are lots of local parks for children and also a swimming complex 5 minutes away with a covered and open air pool - THE LIDO - PARK ROAD. Highgate Woods and Queens Wood are walkable with the cricket clubs, tennis court and other facilities. Muswell Hill Shopping Parade and Crouch End have plenty of interesting local shops and pubs etc.
Then of course there is the glittering edifice that is LONDON! And for information on that I recommend a guide book.
We recommend that you try these: Park Road Baths, Queens Wood, and Priory Park for Kids. Central London - THE LONDON EYE and AQUARIUM WEST END - OXFORD ST NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM Shaftesbury Avenue for plays

How to get there
New River Village nestles in the shadow of historic Alexandra Palace. Within walking distance of Crouch End and Muswell Hill, and with impressive transport connections.
Impressive transport links connect new River Village to the centre of London with tube and rail stations close by. Hornsey Station and Turnpike Lane tube station are less than a mile from the development. If you want to travel further afield, it is easy to access the national rail network and road links to the A1, M1, North Circular.
Crouch End is a North London suburb with easy access to the Tube, Bus and Rail. The nearest tube stations are Turnpike Lane, Finsbury Park and Highgate. Rail Alexandra Palace - Hornsey Bus service run locally to Crouch End - Wood Green and in to the West End, Trafalgar Square and all areas of Central London. It is located in Zone 3.
By road from the North:
Take the A1 towards Holloway and turn immediately left before the Highgate tube station by the Woodsman pub. Proceed to Muswell Hill. At the Broadway turn down the hill towards Crouch End.
Head down the hill and stay in the left hand lane at the traffic lights.
Follow the road towards Hornsey along Priory Road.
You will find the location easily signed on your left side about 1/2 mile along and before the bridge.
The complex is just off Horsey High St.
The concierge is located in the building directly behind the Pumphouse restaurant. The flat is in the first building on your right hand side.
The parking space is 352 in the basement of the large building.
Flat 11 is on the 2nd floor
By Road from the South: Proceed along Hornsey Road from Archway and Holloway. As you come over the rise you will pass a church on your left and the a set of traffic lights. After the lights there is a small supermarket on your left and the clocktower immediately in front. Keep right here and carry along the road for approx 1 mile. Pass the nobody inn pub on your right and straight along until the traffic lights and the T juction. New River village is directly across the road to your right. The flat is on your immediate left.

I suggest that if you are driving you invest in an A-Z of London. It is a labyrinth and I may well make some mistakes.
From HEATHROW
the quickest way - avoiding congestion charges and traffic is to take the
M25 north until you get to the junction for the A40. This is called the Westway.
Follow this road all the way into London. Do not turn off it. It takes you past lots of tall buildings and eventually across Baker St.
You will pass by Madam Tussauds. Continue until you see the sign for Camden - right turn onto the A4200.
Go into Camden and follow signs for Kentish Town A400
Stay on this road for about 2 - 3 miles to Archway.
When you get to Archway there is a large roundabout with buildings in the middle of it. It is so big it seems like a junction. Go left at the roundabout passing the Archway tower on your left and take the Highgate Hill Road up past the hospital.
About 1/4 mile up the hill is a pub called the Crown with a set of traffic lights - turn right here on to Hornsey Lane.
Carry on down this road. You will see a metal sculpture of a chicken outside a school turn left just past it onto Stanhope Road.
Under a small bridge and then turn right on to Hurst Avenue. This crosses over Coolhurst Road before becoming Crouch Hall Road.
Then turn left at the end of the road the turn right just before the pedestrian crossing along Tottenham Lane.
Carry on along to the end where there is a mini roundabout. Turn right and the complex is on your left 1/4 mile along the road.

Just a quick email to say thanks for the Muswell Hill accommodation. In hindsight it was great not having to change flats half way through the trip! The location was fantastic and it we found it easy to orientate ourselves with all the public transport options. A great time had by all!
