Home description
This flat is ideal for people who don't need to spend thousands on a swanky West end address but who do want to experience a true London lifestyle. There is a private garden to the rear and ample free parking on the surrounding roads.
The area is a haven for actors and musicians and you may well spot some famous names as you feast in the local cafes and restaurants. Some of the often spotted locals include Phil Mitchell from Eastenders, Tamsin Outhwaite, Simon Pegg, various members of Blur and even Bob Dylan used to live nearby! (Sadly no longer).
For business people the flat is around 5 minutes drive from the main A1 and the North Circular Road is around 3 miles due north.
Local facilities include supermarkets, all manner of eateries, petrol stations, parks, cinemas , Patisseries and transport links and excellent pubs including the famous Kings head which has comedy nights each week.

How to get there
Crouch End is a North London suburb with easy access to the Tube, Bus and Rail. The nearest tube stations are Finsbury Park and Highgate. Rail Alexandra Palace Bus service run from the centre to Crouch End in to the West End, Trafalgar Square and all areas of Central London. It is located in Zone 3.
By road from the North:
Take the A1 towards Holloway and turn immediately left after the Highgate tube station. Proceed down Shephers Hill and turn right into Park Road. Then take the first right into Shanklin Road and then left onto Bryanstone Road. You may park for free on any of these roads. The apartment is on Crouch Hall Road (left at the end of Bryanstone Road) but you need to approach from this side to avoid the one way system.
By Road from the South: Proceed along Hornsey Road from Archway and Holloway. As you come over the rise you will pass a church on your left and the a set of traffic lights. After the lights there is a small supermarket on your left and the clocktower immediately in front. Turn left here where the furniture shop and Haelan food store are on either side of the road. The flat is on your immediate left.
By Public Transport: Take any tube to Finsbury Park. Victoria- Picadilly and Rail W7 Bus will drop you almost directly outside the flat. Ask for the clocktower in Crouch End.
I suggest that if you are driving you invest in an A-Z of London. It is a labyrinth and I may well make some mistakes.
From HEATHROW
the quickest way - avoiding congestion charges and traffic is to take the
M25 north until you get to the junction for the A40. This is called the Westway.
Follow this road all the way into London. Do not turn off it. It takes you past lots of tall buildings and eventually across Baker St.
You will pass by Madam Tussauds. Continue until you see the sign for Camden - right turn onto the A4200.
Go into Camden and follow signs for Kentish Town A400
Stay on this road for about 2 - 3 miles to Archway.
When you get to Archway there is a large roundabout with buildings in the middle of it. It is so big it seems like a junction. Go left at the roundabout passing the Archway tower on your left and take the Highgate Hill Road up past the hospital.
About 1/4 mile up the hill is a pub called the Crown with a set of traffic lights - turn right here on to Hornsey Lane.
Carry on down this road. You will see a metal sculpture of a chicken outside a school turn left just past it onto Stanhope Road.
Under a small bridge and then turn right on to Hurst Avenue. This crosses over Coolhurst Road before becoming Crouch Hall Road.
The flat is at the end of the road on your left.
I suggest you park on or before the flat on Bryanstone road. This is free parking with no restrictions. Directly outside has 20 minutes restriction and wardens are very active
Sofabeds (1), Double beds (3), Cots (1), Dining seating for 4, Lounge seating for 6, Sleeps maximum of 7
Other:
Linen and towels provided. Highchair available.
Outdoors:

Further details indoors: The Flat is directly above a Dental Surgery and therefore there is no noise. The surgery is closed after 5.30pm.
It was converted in the last 4 years and is on the First Floor of a large Edwardian Building literally just seconds from the centre of Crouch End.
The flat is very comfortable and well furnished and is often used by the owners as a base so it is constantly maintained to the highest standard.
There is a full time manager who lives minutes away and who will ensure that your stay is as trouble free as possible.
Further details outdoors: MANY PEOPLE ARRIVE BY PLANE AND I RECOMMEND THAT YOU PRE-BOOK A CAB. IT WILL SAVE YOU A LOT OF TROUBLE AFTER A LONG FLIGHT
Local Taxi to Crouch End - 0208 347 9999 or look for mini-cabs on your search engine. Usually cost about 50 pounds door to door from Heathrow - Gatwick and they will meet you at arrivals so you aren't paying 90+ for a black cab or struggling with suitcases on the stairs at the tube station.

Review of Crouch End property:
Date of stay: June, 2007
This property was an excellent choice for our family of four. The three bedrooms and two baths provided everyone with enough space. We loved having the kitchen facilities. There was a market within easy walking distance for stocking up on breakfast and snack supplies. There are several restaurants in the neighborhood and the ones we tried were very good. There was a bus stop within a couple of blocks providing easy access to the rest of London. We had a rental car and we did find parking space on the street within a few blocks. The couple who met us with the keys were very nice (especially considering we were considerably later than planned) and helpful.
If we had the opportunity to be in London, we would definitely consider this property again.

This is a genuine review from Rosa Martinez from Spain and yes we can't believe it either!
I love your house, really, We love your house, my friends and I stayed there for a week, believe me, the best week in our lives and it´s because of london and of course your beautiful house and your kindness. I´m always recommending it to my friends, and I´m sure we are going to repeat the visit
The flat was perfect and the neighborhood was wonderful--we loved Queen and Nivan, a Turkish place up the street; the food and wine shops were also great, and we had no trouble getting around, even with the holidays. We didn't have enough time to get to Florian's and couple of other places we wanted to try; maybe next time. Thanks again.
