About the home

Rose Cottage has two bedrooms, one double, one twin. The living room Has two sofas (one a double sofabed), a good sized dining table and six leather chairs. A door opens out on to the garden where you might like to enjoy a barbecue. Bring your laptop, there is Wifi available
As you would expect, there is a lively river life in Hamble. Whether you are racing yachts, walking, sightseeing or just relaxing, enjoying the many very good local eateries and watching the boats go by, Hamble has much to offer
It's great as a crew house, if you want to take part in Cowes Week, Round the Island Race or visit the Southampton Boat show. Up to six can stay, including the sofa bed.

o The kitchen is equipped with lots of useful equipment- Washer, plenty of cutlery, crockery etc
o For babies, in addition to the highchair there is a stair gate and a travel cot (weight limit 15kg)
o If you stay for two weeks a clean, a change of linen and towels will be provided for you
o For your entertainment there is an LCD tv, Virgin media tv and wifi broadband, cd/dvd player, books
o The bathroom has a good separate shower over the bath.

Parking is in the close.

The footpath outside the front door leads directly on to the 24km 'Strawberry Trail' and the long distance 'Solent Way' There is an outside tap for boot cleaning.

The southern part of Hampshire from Portsmouth to Poole is full of great cities, amazing countryside and a wealth of maritime history. Portsmouth has the Historic Dockyard and the pristine Spinnaker Tower, side by side.

The Hamble le Rice area

Hamble, in Central Southern England is very well placed for an ideal holiday break. Hampshire is a beautiful county. Whilst staying in a village you can be riding, golfing or walking in wonderful surroundings or enjoying all the attractions in the cities of Southampton, Winchester and Portsmouth, all within half an hour's drive

Taking part in Cowes Week, The Hamble Regatta (Hamble Week), Round the Island Race, The Southampton Boat Show? Rose Cottage is a great self catering base, through Holiday lettings

Back in the village of Hamble; you can wander down to the foreshore on a Sunday morning maybe, buy a cafetiere of coffee, croissants and sit and watch the hive of activity that is the river. If you are not sailing, why not take the Pink river taxi up river to the 'The Jolly Sailor' (of Howard's Way fame) If you love home baking, you could do no better than to get to the village Hall market 10am -11am Fri , where you will find lots of home produce.

“A lovely cottage in a pretty area” Irene and husband were very helpful and kind. The welcome package was much appreciated. The cottage and garden were delightful. Excellent value. Quiet area. Some great pubs and restaurants nearby. The Bugle has some lovely food. Fox and Hounds in Hungerford and Jolly Sailor are a must.
