This character terraced cottage set next to the owner's home in Haltwhistle, Northumberland, sleeps four people in two en-suite bedrooms.Chare Close Cottage is a delightful, character cottage next to the owner's home in the small town of Haltwhistle, Northumberland. With two first floor bedrooms, one double with en-suite shower room and one twin with en-suite bathroom, this cottage can sleep four people comfortably. There's also a large sitting room, a spacious dining room, a kitchen and a utility room, while outside, there's off road parking for one car plus shared use of the owner's lawned garden. Chare Close Cottage offers a welcoming base within one mile of well-loved Hadrian's Wall and just five minutes' walk from local amenities including shops, pubs, restaurants and takeaways. A cosy base for all.

Amenities: Gas central heating with open fire. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, TV with Freeview, DVD, CD/radio, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Fuel for fire available to purchase locally. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 1 car. Shared lawned garden with furniture and BBQ. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops, pubs and restaurants 5 mins walk.

Region: Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrians Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

Town: Known as the 'Centre of Britain', this small market town is a great place from which to explore both Northumberland and Cumbria. Haltwhistle boasts a good range of shops and pubs - one of which, The Black Bull, is a real ale pub serving good food! There is an excellent leisure centre with heated open air swimming pool and cycle hire in the town, with pony trekking nearby. One of the best preserved stretches of Hadrian's Wall is only a mile to the north. A fantastic base for a Nortumberland adventure!
