The cottage was exactly what we hoped for, the original stone and brick work made it feel even more special. The log fire was put to full use everyday and night to keep us warm from the winter weather outside. Although the weather was less to be desired ( heavy rain everyday) this almost added to the cosiness and warmth of the cottage. The views over the valley were stunning in every direction and we had a lovely view of fireworks on New Years eve. We would definitely recommend this get away to couples looking for a romantic getaway or families with young children. Perfect location with so much to do and a perfect cottage. The pictures really do not do it justice. |

We chose this cottage because we were looking for a quiet weekend retreat but in a location which still close enough to some good pubs and restaurants. The cottage itself was perfect - lovely, cosy and characterful. It's also been very tastefully decorated and updated with all the mod cons. With our visit being in December, the wood burning stove was a bonus as well. A lot of time and effort has gone into renovating the building and it shows, the pictures don't do it justice. The location was perfect for us - secluded but with plenty of pubs and restaurants within easy reach, a few of which within walking distance. The views across the valley were stunning as well and we're already looking forward to re-visiting in the summer with friends when we'll be able to make full use of the large patio and garden. The price for the weekend was very reasonable as well, especially compared to some of the other places we looked at. Overall, we can highly recommend the Gazebo and would have been very comfortable spending much longer there than the 3 nights we managed to squeeze in. It was hard to leave. 10/10 |
