Home description
Set on a large corner plot with only one direct neighbour, on the right hand side, our villa benefits from piece & quiet, great views of the 2nd green, and receives the sun on the pool deck petty much from sun up to sun down.
Our home has a beautiful view from the rear of the property over the 2nd green and fairway which is framed by mature pine trees, palms, and tropical plants. one of the most enjoyable aspects of staying in the villa is coming home from the parks or a hard day shopping and sitting by the pool watching the golfers putting, whilst dring a beer or a G&T.
The villa has 4 bedrooms, 2 of which are master suites with their own bathrooms, and 2 twin rooms that share a bathroom. Two of the bathrooms have showers and the second master suite has a double walk in shower.
The interior is tastefully decorated in a contemporary style and time and mony has been spent to make this a home rather than a hotel experience with pictures, furnishings and entertainmnt geared for ourselves and our guests to having a relaxing holiday.
We have installed cable TV in the lounge, games room and all of the bedrooms which allows guests to relax in any part of the villa and enjoy some entertainment privately should they wish. In addition to cable there is WIFI available so whether you wish to know whats going on back in the UK, shop online or check local activities bring your laptop and we'll rovide the password.
The lounge area comfortably seats 10 people either on bar stalls, relaxing on the sofas or whilst dining. Wih celing fans as well as air con guests should always feel cool even when the tempertaure outside is nudgeing the 100's
We recently had a games room and solar heating installed for the added benefit of having some entertainment in the evenings and removing the need to charge for pool heating through 6 months of the year.
The games room has proven to be a fantastic addition with more than one family telling us, upon thier return to the UK, that their kids pestered them to get home from the parks in order to continue pool and air hockey tournaments. As this room is air conditioned and carpeted its little wonder that our family, friends and guests spend so much time and have so much fun within.
Fabulous view from pool/terrace of 2nd green
Large corner plot and only one neighbour so lots of privacy
Rear view shows level of privacy
Games room has air hockey, darts, cable TV, CD and space to sit

The Florida / Orlando Disney Area
Attractions in Florida
The Magic Kingdom Park The Magic Kingdom Park is what springs to mind for most people when you mention Disney. The park does get busy so get there early and you'll see so much more. Do try and catch one of the wonderful parades featuring some of your favourite Disney characters, and don't come home before you've seen the fireworks high above Cinderella Castle. It's a long day but an absolute must!
Sea World This Orlando favourite draws visitors back time and time again year after year. Grab a show schedule upon arrival and plan your assault on the park. Touch and feed dolphin, pet some perfectly harmless sting rays or get face to face with Shamu and family. If it a hot day a front row seat at the whale show is a guaranteed way to cool off, then dry your clothes in 60 seconds flat on the all new Kraken, a roller coaster without a floor!
Bush Gardens Located in Tampa and hours drive from Orlando, Busch Gardens is a 335 acre African themed park featuring cleverly designed animal attractions, thrilling rides and live entertainment. The park is best known for an incredible collection of roller coasters like Montu, Kumba and the new dueling wooden roller coaster Gwazi. The Tanganika Tidal Wave, is as the name suggests, a good way to cool off but if that sounds a bit strenuous the park is owned by Budweiser, so a free sample may be in order.
Kennedy Space Centre The home of America's space program, Kennedy Space Centre features a variety of exhibits, shows and tours which are both interesting and informative. An hour away from Orlando its very family friendly and whether you're of the Apollo generation or a Shuttle space cadet there's plenty to enjoy.
MGM Studios Take a journey through 'tinsel town', courtesy of the Disney MGM Studios. Battle imperial star-fighters on Star Tours, then it's on to the exciting Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, Jim Henson's Muppet 3D movie, and superb live shows like the Hunchback Of Notre Dame. Try and make time for the afternoon parade featuring characters from the latest animated Disney blockbuster - 'Mulan' is the current offering and highly recommended.
Epcot The Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow is a showcase for cutting edge technology along with an eclectic mix of international entertainment and cuisine. In Future World you get an enthralling look at how our modern world has developed along the very latest developments in science and technology, and it's all dine in a fun and often interactive setting. Make sure you see 'Honey I Shrunk The Audience'- Disney's 3D magic is not to be missed! World Showcase.
Pleasure Island If it's clubbing you're into then head over to Downtown Disney Pleasure Island - 'Mannequins' is a dance palace of epic proportions for over 21's, or there's jazz, comedy, hip hop, and country and western on offer as well Look out for some very well known bands playing on the West End Stage and don't forget to stay late!
Blizzard Beach Water Park is a highly unusual ski resort where the snow has melted and turned the place into a mecca for water rides and slides - look out for the one and only 'Summit Plummet' and hang onto that swimsuit.
Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is home to the biggest surf wave ever to hit Florida and is a tropical paradise full of slick flumes and giant slides like the 'Humunga Kowabunga'. Makes sure you take time to snorkel 'Sharks Reef'.
Haines City / Southern Dunes area
Suthern Dunes enjoys gated access, a renowned Golf Digest 4 star rated Championship Golf Course. There are clubhouses (one with bar and restaurant), pool, tennis courts, park, playground and party facilities. Just minutes away from famous Central Florida attractions and great shopping.
At the entrance to the development, within easy walking distance, are a bank, petrol station and two excellent 24 hour superstores, WalMart and Winn Dixie which sell everything you can possibly imagine. ADD to this an amazing chop house called Manny's that only opened in 2006 that serves the most delicous steaks, ribs and shrimp and the All Star Bar & Gril, a sports bar that serves great food and that shows UK football & sport.
The list goes on and on with Dominos, Burger King, Chinese, Radio Shack, Off Licence (Liqour store) and many many more places to shop.
Winter Haven is only 20 minutes as is Eagle Ridge Mall which has MACEY'S, JC Penny's and all the usual mall stores plus a 10 screen cinema

Further details indoors: The Villas pool and deck afford superb views of the 2nd fairway with direct views of the 2nd green. It is a joy to sit by the pool with a drink and chat to the golfers whilst watching them put or see the abundant bird life of which we have regularly watched 6 eagles in the evening just before a magnificent sunset. We love it, we're sure you will too!
The villa is ideally located with Orlando airport 35 minutes, Disney 15-20 minutes, and the Gulf coast 45mins away all you could require is within easy access but away from the noise and congestion. Located in secured, private surroundings guests can use the children's play area, tennis courts, large swimming pool and gym plus the golf clubhouse which offers an excellent restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner along with bar facilities .
Further details outdoors: Golfing enthusiasts take note: Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club has been ranked 51st in the Top 100 courses in America by Golfweek for the past seven years and there are presently 20,000 courses in the USA. In its short history, Southern Dunes has received numerous awards from the golf industry: Top 10 courses built in the past 10 years by Links Magazine, America's Best Top 40 Daily Fee Courses in America by Golf & Travel, Places to Play by Golf Digest.
Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club was opened in 1993 and was designed by golf course architect Steve Smyers. This dramatic hillside layout was built and is maintained to play fast and firm to enhance the bounce and roll of the ball. It encourages the use of slopes and contours to advance the ball toward the hole. Of course, playing the bump-and-run shots on uneven contours requires imagination and creativity.
The rolling terrain, steep elevation, large-and-fast greens and massive high-lipped bunkers make Southern Dunes distinctively different from your typical Florida course.
Unlike a lot of rental properties this property is not a typical investment property. It has been bought for our own use. Lettings assist in meeting the costs. Like all our guests we come to Florida for the variety of activities whether it be the sun, Disney, wildlife, golf, tranquillity or a mixture of it all. We didn't want to be surrounded by lots of other properties where all the pools look into each other, the prospect of other peoples screaming kids, noise, traffic congestion, bars, fast food outlets and hassle did not appeal one little bit. Southern Dunes in our opinion, having viewed a considerable number of other properties, offers not only one of the best golf courses in the USA but a level of tranquillity that allows you to relax after the hustle and bustle of the theme parks and feel like you're actually having a holiday!
