It is located approximately 20 minutes from the Disney Parks and just 50 minutes from the Gulf and Space Coasts. Our villa is ideally located for the numerous attractions Florida has to offer. Our home offers spectacular views from the private, heated and screened pool. It is furnished to the highest specifications and includes many extras such as an Internet connection, 5 cable TVs, DVD players, X-box, table tennis table, cot, high chair and much more, to ensure your stay is as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. Our villa benefits from being located on Southern Dunes, one of the highest-rated public golf courses in Florida. Haines City / Southern Dunes area
Southern Dunes is a very peaceful location, ideal for relaxing after a busy day in the parks or the Malls. This beautiful Golf and Country Club is a gated community with 24 hour security. On site is the PGA Southern Dunes Golf course which passes behind the villa - we are next to the seventh fairway. Access to the golf course is available for guests, as is entry to the Country Club, its bar and restaurant. As well as the golf, there are also 3 communal swimming pools to use, tennis courts, a children’s play area and fishing lake. Although rare in Florida, our villa has many local amenities within walking distance. At the gates of Southern Dunes there is a Super 24-hour Wal-Mart, Winn Dixie, Blockbuster, a bank, several restaurants, fast food stores, a petrol station and a 24-hour pharmacy.
How to get there
By air to Orlando International Airport, which is approximately 40 minutes drive to our villa or to Sanford International Airport which is approximately 1 hours drive to our villa. Southern Dunes Golf and Country Club is situated off H27, a short distance from the I4 corridor which has access to Disney, Universal Studios and all other major attractions in Orlando. Further details indoors: The house is tiled throughout and has air conditioning and heating for your year-round comfort. The villa sleeps 8 privately, with two additional fully sprung queen-sized bed settees. Our manager lives only 2 minutes away, so should you need help or advice with anything he is readily available. The magnificent living room, measuring 26 feet by 23 feet, with an 18 feet vaulted ceiling, offers an airy, bright and beautiful living space, with two sets of patio windows leading to the pool area with private views over the golf course. There are 3 three-seater sofas (one of which is a fully-sprung queen sofa bed), a large cable TV, DVD player, hi-fi, games and books to help you relax. The dining area has a large, beautiful burnished oak dining table with 8 chairs to bring a touch of class to your dining. There is a telephone with answering machine for your use. Also there is a hi-speed ‘always-on’ internet connection for you to connect your laptop to. The kitchen area has an additional dining nook with table and 8 chairs. The kitchen is equipped with a large cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, waste disposal, toaster and coffee maker, as well as an abundance of cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils to provide for your every need. Also downstairs there is a separate toilet and a Utility which is equipped with a large washer, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. In addition there is a high chair, cot and stair gate available for your convenience at no extra cost. The master bedroom has a queen bed, cable TV, DVD player, a two-seater sofa, dressing table, walk-in wardrobe and patio doors to the pool deck. There is an en suite with twin basins, a Roman bath, large walk-in shower and separate toilet. The large double garage contains a table tennis table, games table, tennis raquets and balls, toys and games for your entertainment. Upstairs, bedroom 2 has a double bed, a large built in wardrobe, cable TV, X-Box and games, drawers and a three seater queen sized sofa bed. Bedroom 3 is a twin-bedded room again with a built in wardrobe, drawers, desk and chairs, cable TV and playstation. Bedroom 4 has a double bed, walk-in wardrobe, drawers and Cable TV. There is also a bathroom with twin wash basins, bath, shower and toilet. The pool area is lovely and private with beautiful views over the golf course. There is ample space on the patio for sun loungers, hammock, chairs, an 8 seater table and barbecue. There are outside lights, and the pool has underwater lighting. The three patio doors leading to the pool area all have electronic alarms which can be used if you have little ones. The pool can be heated for an additional charge if desired.
Further details outdoors: The major attractions are within easy reach - Disney is just 20 minutes away and both of Florida's beautiful coasts are within an hour's reach. There are many community and nearby amenities. These include the golf club with restaurant and bar, the award-winning championship golf course of Southern Dunes with Pro-Shop, driving range and practice tees. There are also community tennis courts, pools, gym, children's play area and a fishing lake. Adjacent to Southern Dunes is a 24-hour Wal Mart, 24-hour chemist, Winn Dixie, bank, petrol station, McDonalds, Manny's Chop House, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Popeye's, Dairy Queen, Blockbuster, and other stores and restaurants.

What a wonderful time we had at Dawn and Ian's villa in September 2006. It really was a home from home. The villa was fully equipped with anything that we might need. We would definitely recommend anyone thinking of renting this property to go for it and do it early as I'm sure when everyone get's to know about it there will be a considerable waiting list. What a fantastic villa. The owners have thought of everything you might need for a wonderful, relaxing vacation. It was great to come home from the parks to be able to chill out in comfort. Everything promised on the web site was there - and more. The pool area was very private and there were lovely views over the golf course. We have rented in Southern Dunes for many years and have finally found the vacation home worth going to. The owners have provided so many extras that it truly makes the vacation a relaxing one. They have paid attention to the details that so many of the other homeowners miss. They have obviously tried(successfully) to make their vacation home a special one. The only downside for us is, that it is already booked for our weeks next year...it would be great have all year to look forward to going back again!
