The cottage is a converted bake-house built over 300 years ago. It combines modern convenience with period charm. Located in the village of Haddenham in Buckinghamshire, it is 16 miles from Oxford and 50 minutes from London Marylebone.
The cottage is within the village conservation area and close to a good range of shops. The village has 5 pubs, four churches and three duck ponds.
The local attractions include the Chiltern Hills, the town of Thame, historic houses and the beautiful red kites that soar over the village all the year round. An ideal place for children and adults alike.

Haddenham is in Buckinghamshire which has a mainline station connecting you to London in 50 minutes or 90 minutes to Birmingham. The station is a 10 minute walk from the cottage. Oxford is just 30 minutes away by an easy bus ride.
The Chiltern hills (designated an area of outstanding natural beauty) are 7 miles away. Easy access to many National Trust properties, Buckingham Railway centre, Roald Dahl museum, Tradional beers, St Tiggywinkles wildlife hospital, Aylesbury and Thame. Many Midsomer murder TV programmes were filmed in Haddenham and the surrounding villages.
Haddenham area
Haddenham has its own annual beer festival, village fete, May festival and monthly Ceilidhs. For children there are three duck ponds, recreation area with playground. Bekonscot model village in about 40 minutes away. Whipsnade wild animal park is 25 minutes away.
How to get there
The nearest motorway is the M40, we are 15 minutes from Junction 8A if you are coming from the North or Junction 7 from the South. Follow signs for the A418 to Thame, then Haddenham. Fern lane is alongside the Bakery which is at the end of the Thame Road.
To arrive by train use the Chiltern Line from Birmingham Snowhill or London Marylebone. Coming from the East, head for Aylesbury and take the A418 towards Oxford. Turn left at the Bugle Horn pub, signposted for Haddenham.

Further details indoors: The cottage has gas fired central heating to ensure it is cosy all the year round. There is a fully fitted modern kitchen, a large living room with semicircular dining area that readily seats six.
The living room has a comfortable three piece suite, bookcases, television with DVD and VHS player. Games, books, and DVDs provided. French windows open onto a private patio with table and chairs.
Upstairs the main bedroom has exposed cruck frame beams. It has a double bed, dressing table, wardrobe and bedside tables.
Off the landing is a modern bathroom complete with toilet, bath, shower and wash basin. The smaller bedroom has exposed beams, a wardrobe and two single beds. This bedroom has many children's books and toys.
Further details outdoors: The property is within a private courtyard in a quiet part of the village but only 200 yards away from shops, restaurants and pubs.

In the low season the cottage can be rented for a minimum of three nights, in high season 7 nights minimum. Rental includes all services: gas and electric, water, taxes, bedding and towels. A welcome pack is included.
