About the home
The master bedroom has double doors onto the terrace. It has the availability of joining two single beds together with a zipped mattress to make a large double bed. The beds will be made up in accordance with your wishes. Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes with integral built in drawers. Dining room has a sofa bed, dining table and chairs, flat screen TV with satellite decoder, DVD & CD player.
The terrace overlooks the 12th hole and pool, the largest on the Resort. Being on the ground floor has the major benefit of easy access to the pool and a large safe grassed play area for children. There are loungers a table and 4 chairs plus folding chairs for guests use at the pool/beach.
Polarisworld is a golf lover’s paradise with your own Jack Nicklaus design course on your doorstep. Close by 8 other Polarisworld Nicklaus design courses (4 open at present) make up the Nicklaus golf trail. A free shuttle service runs day and night to all the other Polaris resorts where you can also enjoy their facilities (Golf/5*hotels with SPA/Restaurants/Bars and entertainment. Historical Murcia City with its spectacular Cathedral and traditional Mercian cuisine is within easy reach. All in all, this region paired with Polarisworld’s facilities has something to offer everyone.

Hacienda Riquelme is a 5* resort built around an 18-hole par 72 golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus.
The Nicholas Golf Trail is a circuit which includes 9 courses within a radius of 25km; some courses are yet to be opened. Each course offers a different level, of play and each has a themed aspect. The Hacienda Requelme is ‘meadowland’
Our ground floor apartment and terrace is a great place to relax, dine and enjoy the views whilst the children play in the beautiful gardens or swim in the pools. There are also children’s play areas and tennis courts nearby.
The current resort facilities include a a restaurant and bar, supermarket, golf club house, and pro shop, alfresco bar, tennis, and golf course. There is also full use of all other Polarisworld resort facilities via the courtesy shuttle bus.
The nearest village is Sucina (5 minute drive) a quaint Spanish village centred around a beautifully restored church and has supermarkets and a selection restaurants, Tapas bars and banks.
The Hacienda Riquelme golf Resort is located close to Murcia airport (15 minutes) and is perfect for breaks from the UK all year round.
You can be met at the gatehouse by our English speaking representative guided to the apartment and shown how all the electrical equipment works and he is also available in case of emergencies. Transfers from the airport and grocery packs are available at a reasonable cost.
The apartment has an underground car park with lift access to the ground floor.

Payments can be made by cheque or cash in Pounds or Euros.
A damage deposit of €200 is required and will be fully refunded after inspection of the property.
The Murcia region
The Costa Calida (Warm Coast) is almost unknown to many people and probably Spain's Best Kept Secret, with the beautiful Mar Menor (little sea) the largest salt-water lagoon in Europe also considered to be the worlds largest swimming pool, which is safe for all forms of water sport; it is non-tidal, crystal clear and shallow never reaching more than 7 metres in depth and with average water temperature of 23 degrees. There are 18km of sandy beaches which are ideal for families as the water is calm, shallow and warm throughout the year. Perfect for participating in the many water sports on offer. There are also mud baths in the thermal waters at Lo Pagan located at the north of the Mar Manor.
Walking is also very popular along the beach promenade, with plenty of cafes, tapas bars, palm trees and restaurants found along the beach front.
The towns around the Mar Menor are small, bustling, traditional and lively, and the people who live there are very friendly and inviting. A day trip to Murcia City, (about 15 minutes drive) to visit some of the stunning historical places of interest, art and culture is a must. Likewise a visit to the ancient seaport of Cartagena, (20 minute drive) to stroll along the harbour and see ancient ruins is a wonderful family day out. Other wonderful cities to visit are Lorca and Caravaca de la Cruz, which is the 5th Holiest City in the World.
The Mar Menor was ‘created’ a little over 1000 years ago. Originally a safe little bay, offering shelter for even large ships, it became a natural lagoon when sediments from the sea built up on a small underwater mountain range and closed off the inlet with a sandbar. On its Western side is mainland Spain, and on its Eastern side is La Manga de Mar Menor, a strip of land, (known as The Strip), that is no more than 900 metres at its broadest point with views of the Mar Menor and Mediterranean.
The climatic conditions of the Mar Menor, with a high number of hours of sun per year and its high salinity, have brought about the deposit, over the centuries, of clays for therapeutic treatment in various areas of the Mar Menor. The beaches are cleaned and combed every day, resulting in the awards of the E.U. Blue Flags for cleanliness and maintenance. In fact, the region was recently declared the cleanest area in Spain by the World Health Organisation. You can swim in the Mar Menor or minutes later swim in the Mediterranean. There are at least 315 days of sun per year with minimum temperatures ranging between 12-14C and maximum temperatures between 20-22C in winter. Summer temperatures vary between 18-20C minimum and between 30-35C maximum. The average annual temperature is 18C.
There is also a New Water Park (Terra Aqua Murcia) and Animal park (Terra Natura Murcia) just 20 minutes away.
The region is of course becoming more and more famous for its fabulous array of golf courses, and is now world renowned for its Jack Nicklaus Golf Trail, of which the Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort plays an integral part.

Really nice appartment, airconditioning was a real bonus. The shared pool is amazing, with really easy access from the apartment - just open the living room doors, a few steps and your there. The appartment is well fitted out and very comfortable. Will definitely be going back again next year. |

We were fortunate to come across this resort from a friend who visited last year and were surprised at the amount of accomodation available in August when we first looked in May. We emailed 6 owners and received offers from 4 confirming price and availability before plumping for this ground floor apartment. If anything based on the price we were not expecting the quality of the apartment and were extremely pleased on arrival. It was very well equipped with everything you needed to enjoy your stay. A car is essential !! We had easy access to a huge pool which was ideal for the smaller children which was never busy with no more than a dozen other families at the busiest times. We also visited and used other pools on the resort . The resort itself is quiet but suited us, the onsite supermarket was great and offered good value compared to offsite and the restaurant / bar was friendly and accommodating. Our teenage daughter was probably a little bored and would have liked more on-site things to do especially in the evenings but was still keen to come back again. As we were at the far end of the resort at the limit of the golf course wifi was patchy and we tended to go up to the hacienda to log on though this could have been down to our labtop. Onsite security is very good and the entire resort is very clean and well looked after. The nearby town offers good if simple cuisine and the nearby beaches in the Mar Menor are the best we have visited in Spain. The golf course here is very good though the earliest tee off time of 8:00am was a tad later than I would have liked. At €50 around including buggy it as also a little steep for 'off season' We intend to return again and hope to persuade friends to come with us, the site photo's don't do it justice. If your after great weather, fantastic value and a quality apartment in a quite rural area of Spain you can't go wrong with this.
