Our front line golf apartment offers the highest standards of accommodation, including two luxury bedrooms, open plan living area, fully equipped kitchen & bathroom. A perfect retreat for relaxing with family and friends while enjoying alfresco dining on our spacious balcony as the sun sets over the golf course and the mountains beyond.
Apart from the golf course itself there are a host of other facilities such as a pro-shop, driving range, golf academy, changing facilities and locker rooms.
The swimming pools are amazing! Within a minutes walk of the apartment block you will find three very large swimming pools, one of which provides a kiddies pool.
There is a large well stocked Supermarket only a few minutes walk from the apartment.
A new bar/restaurant called El Cason has just recently opened with a varied menu available in both choice and price. A good selection of meat, fish & paella dishes are available
The Dovecot Bar 'El Palomar' is situated very close by also. This provides stunning views of the resort and lake whilst watching the golfers and enjoying a refreshing cold drink.
All of the facilities mentioned above are less than 5 mins walk from the apartment block
Sports facilities are also available within the resort. These include an outdoor gym, tennis courts, paddle courts and a sports court for a variety of activities including football. This area is approximately 10/15 mins walk.
Only 15 minutes drive away, the local towns and sandy beaches of San Pedro, San Javier and Los Alcazares can be found. Offering an array of seafront restaurants, palm lined paseos for strolling by the sea and lovely beaches with clear blue waters. The historical cities of Murcia & Cartagena are both within easy reach by car or by train, allowing you to visit the spectacular cathedral in Murcia or discover the rich naval history of the port of Cartagena.

The Murcia region


The Costa Cálida (English for Warm Coast) is approximately 250 km stretch of Mediterranean coastline of the Spanish province of Murcia.
The Costa Cálida extends from El Mojón in the north near the province of Alicante, to the municipality of Águilas in the south bordering on the region of Almería province.
The northern end of this coastline includes the Mar Menor ("Little Sea"), a coastal saltwater lagoon which at around 170 km2 is Europe's largest. The Mar Menor is separated from the Mediterranean by a 22km-long spit of land called La Manga. It has many safe swimming areas making it ideal for children. The water temperature is closely connected to the atmospheric temperature so the water is much warmer then that of the Mediterranean Sea. Water sports are also very popular on the Mar Menor including kite surfing, windsurfing, jet-skiing, water-skiing, canoeing and sailing.
This region has a micro-climate which features comparatively hot mean annual temperatures (and hence its name, "Warm Coast"). This makes it an ideal place for visiting at any time of the year. The average temperature all year is 18ºC, and the monthly average temperatures during June to September surpass 22ºC. Winters are mild, and temperatures rarely go below 10ºC. There are also less than 40 days of rain a year.
There are many other places to visit including nature reserves/wetland. You can see, amongst other wildlife, the migrating flamingos and see the beautiful colours of the many salt lakes. You can even take a visit to the free therapeutic mud baths. The mud is believed to help with ailments such as rheumatism and arthritis. The nearest baths to the apartments are those at Lo Pagan.
You can take a visit to the historical city of Murcia with its spectacular Cathedral, amazing architecture and historic university. The new Water Park (Terra Aqua Murcia) and Animal Park (Terra Natura Murcia) also provide a great day out for the family and only 25 minutes away by car. The historical naval port of Cartegena with its may shops and restaurants is also close by. Cartagena is also easily accessible by car or public transport.
The Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort / Polaris World, Hacienda Riquelme area
Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort is designed around a 19th Century, colonial style building, and was the former residence of the Riquelme Family. This building has now been restored by Polaris World to conserve the history of this traditional Murcian Estate and is now home to 'El Cason' restaurant/bar, the golf pro shop, locker rooms and the resort supermarket.
The resort is surrounded by beautiful mountains, in a peaceful, tranquil setting in the countryside.
Hacienda Riquelme enjoys an ideal location, being situated close to the town of Sucina, and to the airports of Murcia (San Javier) only 15 mins away and Alicante 60 mins away.
The resort is perfect for families providing a safe environment due to the efficient 24 hours access security system which is constantly controlled by well qualified staff and backed up with full CCTV coverage.
The 18 hole Hacienda Riquelme Golf Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus Design is a par 72 and 6416m course built to professional standards. The course covers an area of 71 hectares and has a stunning mountain backdrop and panoramic views of the coast. This course is different from the others in the Nicklaus Golf Trail, a group of six golf courses that make up Europe´s best golf offering, providing ample fairways combined with hard to approach greens, and bunkers ready to complicate your game. And all of it surrounded by wild flowers, olive trees and large lakes. A challenging course that will bring the best shots out of every player.
Other golfing amenities include a driving range, golf academy and pro-golf shop on the resort, however, whilst staying at Hacienda Riquelme you are able to play at reduced rates at La Torre Golf Course, El Valle Golf Course or Mar Menor Golf Course. A courtesy coach is provided to transport you and your clubs to the other golf courses.
The resort centre provides an inside bar/restaurant called El Cason and an outside terrace bar in the old Dovecote called El Palomar, with El Cason serving snacks all day and offering musical entertainment. These amenities are located just a couple of minutes walk from our apartment.
The well stocked, and reasonably priced supermarket provides everything you would wish to purchase if you were wishing to have a lower cost self catering holday.
However, if you wish to explore further, there is an excellent shopping centre in San Javier (Dos Mares) where you will find a hypermarket, ten pin bowling, fast food restaurants, bars and a cinema as well as a host of other shops. Alternatively, take advantage of the free shuttle bus service to any of the other Polaris World Golf Resorts where you’ll find a variety of bars, restaurants and entertainment.

We had a fantastic stay at your beautiful upmarket apartment, lovely size, great taste in decor (very modern), comfortable and very well kept! Breathtaking views from the terrace! Air Con was a god send! Swimming Pools were a stone throw away and only 5 mins walk to the bars and Supermarket. It couldn't be any more perfect!! An absolutely heavenly 7 day stay..........Thank you!!!

The apartment is very modern and exceptionally clean. It has everything you require to make your stay pleasant and relaxing, including air con, dishwasher & washing machine. There are 3 fabulous large pools, all within a short stroll from the apartment. Even sun loungers & parasol were provided!! The swimming pools were normally very quiet which is perfect for chilling out! The views from the terrace over the golf course & lake were stunning. The apartment is within easy walking distance of the shop and bar/restaurant. The owners were extremely helpful & friendly and gave us lots of advice on places to visit and eat. I would thoroughly recommend this apartment.

What a find!, I only had time for a short three day break and this was perfect as it was only a 15 minute drive from Murcia airport to the resort. First impression of the apartment was how clean & tidy it was and before I’d even had a chance to unpack I found myself sat on the terrace watching the golfers tee off, how relaxing. I would definitely recommend using the underground car park as getting into a cool car on a hot day is a massive bonus. Having a huge swimming pool so close to the apartment is fantastic. All other facilities are within a short stroll as well, what more could you want? More time there! My next visit will definitely be for longer, without question. Top drawer…..thanks

We stayed at the apartment this year for 2 weeks. The directions to find the complex were spot on and the benefit of underground parking was soon apparent with summer temperatures of 43 degrees. The apartment itself was very clean and comfortable – everything in good working order and as advertised. We particularly enjoyed sitting outside on the balcony for dinner. Complex was very well maintained and swimming pools kept in a good clean condition. Our children rated the holiday 10/10 so I think we will be making a repeat booking.

We stayed in this fantastic apartment for 9 nights in September. The apartment was very modern, clean and spacious. The outside terrace was half covered giving a sun shade when required, perfect for eating outside, especially with a little one. The whole complex is huge and very well looked after. The swimming pools were great, never crowded, there were probably only 3 other families/groups of people using the swimming pool when we were there. A 5 minute walk away is an onsite supermarket which was reasonably priced and very well stocked. There is also an onsite restaurant/bar where the food was good and not too badly priced. A car is highly recommended if you want to explore the area as the complex is quite remote and public transport cannot be relied on. You will also need a car if you want to visit the local beaches, which were lovely. The nearest local village is Sucina, which is approximately 50 mins walk from the complex, but seemed like 2 hours when walking in the heat! There are a variety of very good restaurants to choose from in Sucina, especially the Indian called Taj where you can eat in or take away. We would definitely go back again and again! An ideal holiday for a good relax in quality accommodation.
