About the home
The apartment is furnished to a very high standard but also has a 'home from home' feel about it. It is fully equipped for easy living and has air-conditioning in the lounge and both bedrooms (included in the prices quoted) and central heating to cater for the winter months. It is ideal for 4 people.
There is also a table and chairs and sun loungers on the terrace area. We have also provided sun loungers and beach towels for around the pool (which helps keep the baggage weight down).
The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, and microwave. The bathroom is equipped with a bath and a shower. All linen, towels and beach towels are provided.
Whether for family holidays, golfing breaks, or somewhere just to relax this is the place to be. Ideal for both short breaks as well as long stays.

There are many other communal pools on site of different designs available for use but the one next to the apartment is the largest and the best.
There are several children's play park areas around the site, the nearest one is within 30 metres of the apartment.
Current amenities onsite in the refurbished Hacienda include a supermarket, pro shop, changing facilities, bar, cafe and Restaurant as well as a Dove Cote bar next to the 9th and 18th Green.
Course facilities include a driving range, golf professional and free use of a putting, pitching and bunker practice area.
As a visitor to the apartment you will qualify for preferential golf rates on the Jack Nicklaus trail. Typically a reduction from 80 to 45 euros. There are also special offers at various times of the year such as twilight golf for 30e, two for one in the afternoon or free buggy use, 9 holes in the evening for 15e plus 10e for buggy (these are examples of previous offers).

MAR MENOR (20 minutes away)
The Mar Menor (the warm sea) a large sea water lagoon one of the cleanest, safest and warmest waters in the Med which is separated by the 24kms long La Manga strip. The Mar Menor's salinity provides buoyancy, so it is supposedly one of the safest places to swim in the world. It is also renowned for it’s high water temperatures which are retained well in to the autumn months. The mineral-rich waters are said to have therapeutic effects and because of this the area has a significant spa tourism industry.
Take in the beautiful views of the Mar Menor from the extensive level promenades that run along side the beaches from San Pedro del Pintar to Santiago del la Ribera and are perfect for cycling or a relaxing walk (with pushchairs or wheel chairs) and stop off at one of the many beach side cafés or bars.
The region benefits an average temp of 21C & 320 days of sunshine (average). Murcia is the capital of the region and Its main sights are its cathedral and historic architecture along with lots of modern shops.
CARTAGENA
Cartagena, with its Roman history, is very much a working seaport, home to the Museo Nacional de Arqueología Marítima and National Marine Archaeology Museum. Walk through the old city with it's narrow cobbled streets that link through to the more open spaces with new modern boutique style shops.
LORCA
A lovely inland city with a fabulous castle.
LOS ALCAZARES
Los Alcazares on the Mar Menor has some of the finest beaches on the Costa Calida. The local promenade has numerous bars, cafés and restaurants selling local delicacies. A short walk inland and you are in Los Alcazares town centre.
SAN PEDRO DEL PINATAR
This watery setting, combined with the facilities of its marina, means you can experience a diverse range of water sports, such as sailing, scuba diving, kite surfing and windsurfing.
SANTIAGO DE LA RIBERA
Santiago De La Ribera has a newly refurbished promenade leading onto sandy beaches with more cafés and restaurants to relax in. You can also enjoy a ferry trip across the Mar Menor to La Manga.
NATURES WONDERS
The surrounding area contains the Salinas de San Pedro del Pinatar Regional Park, a space where a great many species of migratory birds come to nest. You can also benefit from the therapeutic properties of its mud, especially suitable for treating bone and skin ailments.
SAN JAVIER
At San Javier, just a 20 minute drive away, you will find the Dos Mares shopping mall, which includes a 10 pin bowling alley, cinema and an extensive food hall.
SHOPPING NEAR MURCIA
Towards Murcia, 20 minutes in the other direction is Nueva Condomina and Thader shopping malls which have over 200 shops, including many U.K high street chains. This complex also provides a huge range of restaurants, 10 pin bowling alley, cinema complex and large supermarkets. There is even an IKEA store.
SOMETHING FOR THE KIDS
The New Water park (Terra Aqua Murcia) and Animal park (Terra Natura Murcia) provide a wonderful family day out, with something for all ages near to Nueva Condiminia.

The ‘town centre’ at Hacienda Riquelme was built around the 19th century Old Manor House (Restoration complete) and hosts a superb club house, supermarket, restaurant, café, bars and access to medical facilities. As the complex has an abundance of safe pools it is a great place for the children and for you. Sit back and relax in the beautiful surroundings of the Hacienda while enjoying the glorious Spanish sun.

Meanwhile the village of Sucina is only a 3 minute drive and has everything you need including several good supermarkets, restaurants and bars, banks and a lovely bakery.
Also as our guest on a Polaris World site you are welcome to use the excellent facilities at the neighbouring Polaris World Resorts at La Torre and El Valle, they are both about a 15 minute drive away and a free shuttle bus is operating from Hacienda Riquelme to all these resorts.
These facilities include - 5 star Intercontinental hotel, several 18 hole golf courses, a great selection of quality restaurants and bars, supermarkets, tennis courts, hair and beauty salon, spa, sauna, steam room, travel agency, healthcare centre.
There is also a local bus service which stops outside the resort and travels to Murcia one way and Sucina and San Pedro Pinator in the other direction.
The railway station in Balsicas allows you to park and ride. You can travel North to Murcia or South to Cartegena. If you want to have an away day then you can travel from Murcia to Valencia, Madrid or even as far as Barcelona on super fast rail links.

Had another great stay on our 2nd visit to this appartment. The appt has everything you need, well equipped and comfortable. Nice decor and a home from home feel. There is a pool about 30m away which is a nice size although a little cold at the end of october but most of us managed a swim. The complex has a nice restaurant and bar where the food is very good although a little pricy but the portions are large (a little tip share starters as they are enormous). A car is neccesary to get round and visit places and the beach but youy could just as easily stock up at the supermarket take a few books and chill!_ |

My Husband and I stayed for 2 weeks with our 16 year old son and his friend. The apartment is lovely and has everything you need including a really nice sized terrace and small garden. The swimming pool closest to the apartment was a very good size and never crowded and was only a few steps away. My Husband played golf 4 times, all late afternoon and he thought the course was excellent. The weather was great, very hot towards the end of our stay. You defintely need a car when staying here and we did a afr bit of travelling around to local beaches, La Manga, the waterpark near Murcia and the fantastic waterpark in Benidorm. The supermarket on site is great for most things but we used the one in Sucina for our main shopping. I would thoroughly recommend the apartment and I am sure that my Husband & I will go back for a relaxing break in the future. |

The apartment was superb, very clean, well presented, nicely furnished and well equipped. Air Conditioning in both bedrooms and living area was a blessing (our friends in a different apartment on the resort only had AC in the living room) Swimming pool was great, and we didn't feel the need to try any of the other 17 on site! The site is well laid out and very spacious. There was some evening entertainment while we were there, but don't expect to be night clubbing! Go to Ibiza for that! The restuarant was nice, but a short drive out will find you a greater choice of places to eat. Los Narejos is about 20mins drive and although very 'touristy' has a pedestrian area full of cafes and restuarants (mostly owned by British people!) The shop on site is very well stocked and you will find everything you need there, but might find it slightly cheaper in the local town of Sucina. A car is essential for this trip, and the apartment has a very swish electronic underground parking bay, so the car never has to be left out in 41C sun! We booked accomodation, flights and car seperately for this trip and it cost us a third of an out of season trip to a certain package 'villa' holiday a couple of years ago. We will definately be returning and are still buzzing from one of the best family holidays we have had! |

A clean well equipped apartment. The pool is a stones throw away from the apartment and was spotless with plenty of room for swimming and sunbathing . There is also a good choice of local good affordable restaurants.
25/7/11 - "Ideal family holiday”
Great location for a family holiday. This is the second year that we've holidayed at the apartment, flying into Murcia last year and Alicante this year. Although Murcia airport is much closer to the resort, we got a cheaper flight to Alicante, so check both airport flight prices. Our family needs a golf course, mountains for cycling and sunshine and a pool. All of which are catered for with this apartment in this location. The new supermarket and restaurant on site are convenient and reasonably priced. Eating out in nearby towns or other Polaris resorts is recommended.
8/7/11 - "Amazing apartment, return visit is a must!”
I visited this apartment with 3 friends and we all agreed that it was a fantastic place to stay. The apartment is well equipped with everything you need for a break away. It is furnished to a high standard and has a homely fee,l making your trip away nice and relaxed. The facilities are fantastic, clean, easily accessible and staff are welcoming and friendly. Whether you want to relax by the large pool, play a round of golf, or venture into the local towns or neighbouring resorts this apartment has it all. I would definitely recommend this apartment for couples, families or groups of friends and will be making a return trip myself.
