The Costa Calida/Murcia region
The region of Murcia lies within the Costa Calida, and is blessed with a fantastic Mediterranean micro climate averaging 21c boasting around 320 days of sunshine per year, making this a prime location in every season.
The coastline is characterised by its sandy blue flag beaches, ideal for children, and a good selection of these are within easy reach. Nearby is the small town of Sucina, where small cafés, restaurants and supermarkets can be found.
We are close to both historic Cartagena and the city of Murcia, and a short 15-20 minute drive to the warm shallow waters and beaches of Mar Menor, which are amongst the most beautiful in Spain.
Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort / Polaris World, Hacienda Riquelme area
This golfing paradise at Hacienda Riquelme is an absolute gem, where a number of top class Golf Courses are within a small radius (the Jack Nicklaus Golfing Trail). If you play serious golf then these challenging courses are a dream come true.
If you do not, then you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the resort, the comfortable accommodation, the nearby facilities, eg. shops, bars, restaurants, and places of historic interest, not forgetting the 320 days of sunshine.
How to get there
Murcia (San Javier) airport is frequented by most low budget airlines eg. Easyjet/Ryanair eg. 20 minutes. Alicante airport is approximately a 60 minute drive.
In 2009 the new Corvera airport is to be opened.
There are several car hire companies who offer competitive rates ie. Europcar have a "meet and greet" with free transfer to Hacienda Riquelme where your car will be waiting for you. Please ensure you request this service from the car hire company to avoid disappointment at the car rental desk.

Hacienda Riquelme is a new resort, and facilities are being updated and improved all the time.
There is a clubhouse, supermarket, pro shop, and driving range available.
There are beautiful landscaped areas, with olive trees, several lakes, outdoor swimming pools, and children's play areas for your enjoyment.

A 25% deposit will be required at the time of booking confirmation, balance payable 6 weeks prior to arrival.
A refundable damage deposit of 100 pds required on arrival, to be refunded within one week of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection.)
