Luxurious and spacious front line ground floor apartment. Spectacular views over the orange groves, golf course and mountains from the apartment’s terraces and garden. Beautifully furnished with easy access to the large communal swimming pool. Also have access to all of the other communal pools and children’s play areas on-site.

The apartment has a lovely sized lounge/dining area which has air conditioning. There are ceiling fans in both bedrooms.

Conveniently located next to the soon to be finished multi sports area which will include tennis courts, basketball court, football court and children's play area.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region

The wonderful climate in the Costa Calida Region makes it an ideal place for visiting at any time of the year. The average temperature all year is 19ºC, and the monthly average temperatures during June to September surpass 22ºC. Winters are mild, and temperatures do not go below 10ºC. There are also less than 40 days of rain a year.

The 170 square km lagoon of the Mar Menor is separated from the Mediterranean Sea by the La Manga del Mar Menor and the La Manga Strip. It has many safe swimming areas making it ideal for children. Water sports are also very popular on the Mar Menor including kite surfing, windsurfing, jet-skiing, water-skiing, canoeing and sailing. The water temperature is closely connected to the atmospheric temperature so the water is much warmer then that of the Mediterranean Sea.

Phoenicians initially, then the Moorish Kings, chose this "small sea" to install their summer residences here. Today, this place attracts all those who seek a quiet place to rest and relax, with ideal climatic conditions all year round.

Not only are there fantastic beaches in the Murcia Region, there are many other places to visit including nature reserves/wetland. It was declared 'of international importance' in 1994 and was included on the list of the Ramsar Convention for the conservation and sustainable utilization of wetlands at the 'Salinas y Arenales de San Pedro del Pinatar.' You can see, amongst other wildlife, the migrating flamingos and see the beautiful colours of the many salt lakes. You can even take a visit to the free therapeutic mud baths. The mud is believed to help with ailments such as rheumatism and arthritis – although be warned that you will smell like a fish for the rest of the day! The nearest baths to the apartments are those at Lo Pagan.

You can take a visit to the historical Murcia City with its spectacular Cathedral and historic university and its traditional Murcian cuisine is within easy reach by car or public transport. The historical walled city of Cartegena is also within easy driving distance.

Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort / Polaris World, Hacienda Riquelme area

The whole complex at Hacienda Riquelme has been developed around a splendid 18-hole golf course designed by the golf master himself, Jack Nicklaus. It has a total area of 1.353.041 m2 with the golf course, green areas and communal services all within a protected perimetre. CCTV cameras and controlled access to the resort ensure 24 hour security.

Apart from the course itself there are a number of other facilities such as a clubhouse, pro-shop, driving range and golf academy. There is also a supermarket on site. Work has now begun on restoring the beautiful Hacienda which will be the focus of the other amenities including shops, restaurants and a signature Espa spa. These are due to be completed in Spring/Summer 2009.

Every care has been taken to preserve the charm and elegance of this Historical 'Manor estate', with its beautiful landscaped gardens, water features, large avenues flanked by native plants and views through the valley to the Mar Menor.

Special Golf deals currently include a 2 for 1 offer between midday and 5pm or €30 per round after 5pm. In addition at Hacienda Riquelme, you can enjoy half price buggies and trolleys all day or between midday and 5pm on other Polaris resorts. These offers are available until the 15th September 2008. Or for the real enthusiast, you can book 5 rounds of golf and a buggy for €250 or just the golf for €200. (Please be aware that this is subject to change).

Any guest staying on a Polaris World Resort can use the facilities and services of all the Polaris World resorts, including the golf courses, bars and restaurants. Polaris World operate a shuttle service to take guests between the resorts. This currently runs four times daily but please check this as the service is subject to change as the resorts develop.

How to get there

Nearest Airport is Murcia (San Javier) which is approximately 20 minutes drive. Flights to Murcia (San Javier) airport fly from the following locations:

Easy jet: Bristol, London Gatwick, Newcastle

Ryan Air: Birmingham, Bournemouth, Dublin, East Midlands, Glasgow, Liverpool, Luton, London Stansted, Shanon.

Jet 2: Belfast, Blackpool, Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle.

Monarch: Birmingham, London Gatwick, Manchester.

You can also get flights to Alicante airport which approximately 60 minutes drive away.

Low cost cars can be hired from hispacar.com – this is the company that we use on a regular basis, or alternatively you can pick a car up from the airport when you arrive.

Well appointed apartment with air-conditioning in the living room/dining room and ceiling fans in both bedrooms to keep you cool in the Spanish heat.

Currently, there is a television with a few Spanish channels. Playstation2/DVD player to be added for the winter period with a selection of films and games.

There is a selection of books, board games and cards.

Please note that pool and beach towels are not provided. Towels provided in the apartment must not be used for the swimming pool.

The apartment is well stocked with all that you need to make your stay more than enjoyable.

Further details outdoors:
Fantastic views from both front and rear terraces, which enable you to enjoy a spectacular daily sunset and eat outside at large marble type dining table.

The back terrace is south facing and overlooks the beautiful orange groves - perfect for enjoying an evening drink. The front terrace overlooks multisports area, the 14th green and large communal pool - you can literally walk from apartment to pool in less than 15 seconds.

Additional information:
The swimming pool areas are fenced off for the safety of children.
Plenty of communal areas including benches & fountains.
There is always plenty of parking on the road behind the apartment.

Further details

Strictly no smoking in the apartment or on the patios. A charge will be taken from your deposit if the apartment needs to be additionally cleaned for this reason.

Although this apartment is suitable for children, please be aware that they must be supervised at all times.

A £50 security deposit is to be paid to secure the booking. The remaining amount must be received 8 weeks before the start of your holiday (this can be flexible for last minute bookings).

A damages deposit of £150 is required at this time and will be returned within 2 weeks of the end of your holiday subject to satisfactory inspection.

A cleaning fee of 65 euros is payable locally either on arrival or before departure. Mid holiday laundry change can be arranged at an additional cost of 30 Euros.

Airport pick-up is also available upon request and is subject to an additional cost of 30 Euros from Murcia Airport and 70 Euros from Alicante Airport. This can be paid upon arrival.
