About the home

Hacienda Riquelme is a very low density development and this apartment looks out over a vast expanse of open landscaped ground including a lake. Even if you don't play golf, you have the benefit of not having hundreds of apartments crammed into as small a space as possible, At Hacienda Riquelme, the apartments are all aranged to have great open views which means peace is guaranteed. There are dozens of swimming pools on the site with one pool being shared by a very small number of apartments.

The apartment has been furnished to a very high standard with very good quality mattresses, 2 leather sofas and 32" Samsung LCD TV. There are very few 2 bathroom apartments on this complex.

The apartment has one of the largest terraces with some sun and some shade through most of the day. The terrace overlooks the golf course and lakes to one side and the swimming pool to the other.

The apartment is on a Jack Nicklaus designed 18 hole course with several other Jack Nicklaus courses nearby with transport between the courses provided. There is also a Seve Ballesteros designed course less than 5 minutes away by car. I am told that the course is "challenging" and Poalris World are looking for PGA competion approval. There are generally offfers on the green fees with two for one offers and twilight teeoffs.

The master bedroom has 2 single beds with high quality mattresses and an en suite marble bathroom with shower over the bath.

The second bedroom has it's own shower room and WC and the same quality matresses as the master bedroom.

The lounge has 2 and 3 seater chocolate brown leather sofas and Samsung 32" LCD TV (none of your never heard of supermarket brands here!!!)

The apartment has a lift and we believe that it would be suitable for a wheelchair but we don't know for certain.

The Murcia region

Much less developed than the Costa del Sol, Murcia is full of lemon, orange and olive groves and beautiful scenery. Lovely beaches such as La Manga and Mar Menor.

Offering the hottest weather in Spain, the ‘warm coast’ lives up to its name. The summer lasts from Easter to November, making a great place for an off-season getaway. The lagoon of Mar Menor offers warm shallow waters, ideal swimming conditions for children. The coast is a must for sports fanatics, with the huge Club La Manga offering three golf courses amongst other facilities.

The area offers golfers a vast number of courses to play and choose from. Polaris run regular courtesy buses to their other courses at Mar Menor Golf, La Torre Golf Resort and El Valle Golf Resort .

Sierra Espuna Mountain range, great for walking and hiking with amazing views.

The Roman town of Cartegena is also close by.

“Good size apartment with access to good golf courses” Good size apartment, good golf course and club house. Very quite due to being outside the larger towns. good road access from airports and Murcia. Great for racing fans with Jerez and Cartagena within a short drive, Response: The reviewer has stayed in both our apartments and would have visited Jerez circuit from our apartment in Andalucia, from this apartment the reviewer would have visited Valencia and Cartagena.

“Superb” What can I say... This was a great stay and an ideal location. The golf is superb and the apartment is well catered for and really nice. If only we had visited in the summer to take advantage of the great weather. I would recommend this to anyone especially a family with 2 children. This would be great. We went with as a couple and 2 blokes but it was nice and clean and good for what we wanted. Response: It is normally glorious sunshine from May through to October but going in March means there is a risk of some rain. I'm glad you enjoyed the holiday regardless.

“Absolutely excellent apartment” Recently stayed at this apartment which was perfectly positioned for all the facilities on Hacienda Riquelme. Supermarket and Clubhouse just a 2 minute walk away. The apartment overlooks the 4th fairway (I think) and all facilities within apartment were first class. I t has a large 'wrap around' balcony which allows you to move in or out of the sun depending on your choice. All in all an absolutely excellent apartment and would have absolutely no hesitation in returning. Response: Thanks for your great review, I'm glad you enjoyed your holiday.
