Home description
A well presented and luxurious two bedroom apartment, situated 200m from the centre of the Hacienda Riquelme resort. The apartment has a large 31m² terrace for alfreso dining, which overlooks the 11th tee, lake and swimming pool.
It's an ideal base for families, as well as golfers, from which to visit the various beaches and golf courses Murcia has to offer.
We offer the second and subsequent weeks at half price, or the last night free on weekend visits of more than 3 nights
The lounge has a chaise-lounge sofa, coffee and dining table with 4 chairs. There is a 32" flat screen TV with satellite decoder, DVD and CD player. The apartment has air conditioning and quiet running fans in the lounge and bedrooms.
The master bedroom has double doors out onto the terrace, fitted wardrobe with integral built-in drawers and a double bed which can be split into two singles if required (please advise on booking what the preference is). The second bedroom has fitted wardrobes with integral built-in drawers and two single beds.
The terrace has a table with 6 chairs as well as sun loungers. A set of clubs is also available if required to save the expense of bringing out your own set.
The kitchen is fully equipped including a fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and glasses for all occasions.
Our English representative will meet you at the entrance of the complex when you arrive and will take you to the apartment. He is available to answer any questions or queries during your stay.
We can also provide at a reasonable cost grocery packs, airport transfers, travel cot and a highchair. Please ask for further information.
The apartment benefits from underground secure parking and 24 hour secure security patrol around the resort.
Once the booking has been confirmed we will provide a welcome pack of information containing detailed directions, information about things to do in the area and places to eat.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region
This beautiful part of Spain is quite unknown to many people and probably Spain's Best Kept Secret, with the beautiful Mar Menor (little sea) the largest salt-water lagoon in Europe also considered to be the worlds largest swimming pool, which is safe for all forms of water sport; it is non-tidal, crystal clear, and shallow never reaching more than 7 metres in depth and with average water temperature of 23 degrees.
The Mar Menor was created a little over 1000 years ago. Originally a safe little bay, offering shelter for even large ships, it became a natural lagoon when sediments from the sea built up on a small underwater mountain range and closed off the inlet with a sandbar. On its Western side is mainland Spain, and on its Eastern side is La Manga de Mar Menor, a strip of land, (known as The Strip), that is no more than 900 metres at its broadest point with views of the Mar Menor and Mediterranean.
The climatic conditions of the Mar Menor, with a high number of hours of sun per year and its high salinity, have brought about the deposit, over the centuries, of clays for therapeutic treatment in various areas of the Mar Menor. The beaches are cleaned and combed every day, resulting in the awards of the E.U. Blue Flags for cleanliness and maintenance. In fact, the region was recently declared the cleanest area in Spain by the World Health Organisation.

Blessed by the mild Mediterranean climate it has at least 315 days of sun per year. Minimum temperatures range between 12-14C and maximum temperatures between 20-22C in winter. Summer temperatures vary between 18-20C minimum and between 30-35C maximum. The average annual temperature is 18C. The two main provinces in this region are Murcia and Almeria.
Murcia is the capital of this region and is only a 20 minute drive from the apartment and has much to offer.

Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort area
Hacienda Riquelme boasts a splendid 18 hole par-72 golf course designed by Nicklaus Design which is hoped to get PGA status. There is also a driving range and putting green next to the pro-shop.
The Nicklaus Golf Trail, is a circuit which will boast 9 courses within a radius of 25km. Four courses are already up and running (Hacienda Riquelme, La Torre, El Valle and Mar Menor) and each course offers a different character and level of play. A free bus service runs between each resort, giving you access to their resort facilities and golf courses.
The town centre will be the conversion and extension of the beautiful Spanish Hacienda (country home) located on the resort (currently under construction). It is a truly Spanish rural and peaceful resort. Whilst the Hacienda is being renovated, there is a temporary supermarket, cafe/bar, golf shop and tennis court for all your conveniences.
