Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort is a short drive from some of the best beaches on the Costa Calida, notably San Javier, & San Pedro providing very safe swimming and family fun.Try the therapeutic mud baths of the Salinas De San Pedro before bathing in the child friendly safe warm waters of the Mer Menor.
The Mer Menor lagoon has a averange water temperature 5c warmer than the mediterranean sea.

Murcia offers over 250 km of Mediterranean coastline where you will discover an exceptional climate : with an average temperature of 21 C perfect for golf. The golf course is set around the restored Hacienda (country house). A fantastic 18 hole par 72. The wide fairways & hard to approach greens are protected by lakes & bunkers ready to complicate your shot. All in all a fun & challenging course.

Hacienda Riquelme forms part of the Jack Nicklaus Golf Trail along with La Torre, Mar Menor & El Valle Golf Resorts, all linked with a FREE bus shuttle so you can enjoy the benefits of all Polaris resorts.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region

The Mar Menor (the warm sea) a large sea water lagoon one of the cleanest, safest,warmest waters in the Med.
The region benefits an average temp of 21c & 320 days of sunshine (average)
Murcia (City). The capital of the region. Its main sights are its cathedral and historic architecture along with lots of modern shops.

Cartagena is very much a working seaport, Home to the Museo Nacional de Arqueología Marítima, National Marine Archaeology Museum.

Lorca: A lovely inland city with a fabulous castle.

San Pedro del Pinater :-This watery setting, combined with the facilities of its marina, means you can do a great many sports, such as sailing, scuba diving or windsurfing.

The surrounding area contains the Salinas de San Pedro del Pinatar Regional Park, a space where a great many species of migratory birds come to nest. You can also benefit from the therapeutic properties of its mud, especially suitable for treating bone and skin ailments.

Hacienda Riquelme, el valle,la torre & the Mar Menor golf resorts all linked by free shuttle bus for you to take on the challenge, La torra offers supermarket, bars, restaurants, the Encina buffet is well worth a vist & the desserts are pure heaven.

Riquelme is a 5* golf resort, but we feel a car is advantageous to explore the Costa Calida Region and its lovely safe beaches and secluded coves. There are other Polaris world resorts nearby which are at your disposal and the Mar Menor which has many beautiful places to visit and good variety of restaurants shops etc. facilities on site include club/pro shop tapas bar and a well stocked supermarket. Tennis courts, outside gym, petanca (boules)are also available on site along with children's play areas.

Santiago de la Ribera - Lovely beach & a ferry to the La Manga strip round trip 8 euro's.

Walking / cycling: Calblaque to Cala Reona - Calblanque is one of the few areas along the Murcian coast that still conserves its natural state to a great extent. This area is made up of an untouched coastline with arid mountains, fossil dunes, long golden beaches and a beautiful blue sea and was declared a Regional Nature Reserve in 1987.

The Greenhouse Route - Los Alcazares - San Javier - Los Alcazares - A bike ride on the flat inland, crossing fruit and vegetable crops and immense fields of greenhouses. Length 22 kilometres.

And for the kids: Torrevieja Aqupolis, the park is one of the biggest water parks on the Costa Blanca.
Go Karting and Horse Riding both situated close to San Javier Airport, plenty of fun for all the family.

There are many, many more things to see and do in the Costa Calida region.

Cheap flights available at Easyjet.com from all london & main airports to Mucia & Alicante.
Flights also available from flybe.com exeter to Alicante.
Low cost but good quality cars can be hired from murciacar.com & doyouspaincom.
Travel time from Murcia airport is approximately 20 minutes.
Travel time from Alicante airport is approximately 60 minutes.

A 25% Deposit is required at time of booking confirmation.
Bookings should be made by email or telephone and your reservation will be confirmed as soon as we receive a completed booking form plus the required deposit. Do not book your flights until your booking is confirmed.

A refundable breakages deposit of £99 is required on balance, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).

Strictly no smoking in the apartment (you may smoke on the terraces).
There is a lift in the apartment building providing access, also leading down to secure allocated underground parking.

We had several walks around the paths on the course, and some of the holes looked amazing to play! We were dying to have a go!
