About the home

The penthouse apartment is well situated on Hacienda Riquelme with frontline views of the golf course.

It is equipped for all seasons with air-conditioning & gas central heating in the living room and both bedrooms.

It is furnished in a contemporary style with a luxury leather sofa in the lounge, 42" Full HD TV (Panasonic), PS3 (Sony PlayStation), Blu-ray DVD and BOSE iPod sound system, free WiFi. English TV channels are available.

The bedrooms benefit from high quality beds and pillows for that extra deep sleep. The penthouse can be made up with any combination of king size or single beds i.e. two king size beds, 4 single beds or 1 king size and 2 single beds.

The extended kitchen has a Nespresso Coffee machine, dishwasher, large fridge freezer, washing machine, micro wave, toaster, kettle and all mod cons. The extended dining area features a panoramic view of the golf course.

There is a large wrap around roof top sun terrace with stunning views of the mountains, swimming pool, golf course and lakes. It is equipped with soft furnishings and a superior quality gas BBQ for outdoor dining.

There are 4 hotel quality Balliu pool sunbeds and towels for the exclusive use of Acaica penthouse guests. Please note most apartments on the resort do not supply sunbeds.

The Murcia region

The Mar Menor is a large sea water lagoon which is one of the cleanest, safest, warmest waters in the Med.
The region benefits from an average temp of 21c and 320 days of sunshine a year which. It is said to be a mini micro climate and highly recommended for anyone suffering with joint pains, due to the dry climate.

Murcia City is the capital of this region, it is a vibrant, cosmopolitan city only 20 minutes drive from Hacienda Riquelme, its main sights are its cathedral and historic architecture along with lots of modern shops.

San Pedro del Pinater : Has great facilities for water sports, such as sailing, scuba diving or windsurfing.

The port of Cartegena is 30 minutes drive away and worth a visit, it is famous for it's quiet fishing village of Cabos de Palos with a fine selection of fish and seafood restaurants.

There is also horse riding available, go karting and much more.

The Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort / Polaris World, Hacienda Riquelme area

Hacienda Riquelme is situated about 15 minutes drive from the coast, with the magnificent back drop of the Murcia mountain region. It is the most tranquil and lowest density of all the Polaris world resorts, giving you a feeling of space. The 18 hole par 72 golf course, which forms part of the Nicklaus Golf Trail, offers Europe’s best golf all in one convenient location. Whilst staying at the resort you will have access to the Mar Menor, La Torre and El Valle resort facilities and golf courses.

Hacienda Riquelme has a supermarket, cafe/bar, restaurant and golf shop for your convenience.

Getting to the penthouse couldn't be easier, there are several low cost airlines that offer supper discounts. Flying into Murcia San Javier Airport is only 20 minutes drive from the penthouse and Alicante airport is under an hours drive.

“quality” this was our 1st visit to a golf resort and we where not disappointed as the apt was top class and everything you see advertised was within the apt and the views from the balcony are superb.As it is out of the way car hire is essential .If you prefer eating out i would drive the 5 minutes into the nice wee town called Sucina ,on the other hand if you dont mind cooking orive the 20mins to dos mares shopping centre and stock up as there is not a lot to do at night as it is very quiet. Finally i will say it is good for couples and families so go and enjoy.ps john is very helpful

“Great apartment and complex / resort” Great apartment, well kitted out. The resort / complex was really nice and clean, we felt totally safe here. The onsite restaurant was good, as was the evening entertainment.

“outstanding” Staying with my wife and two young children (9 and 12) we had a brilliant time. The apartment was fantastic. Clean, light ,bright and kitted our really well with everything you could need. The fixtures and fittings were first rate, really high quality. The position was excellent overlooking the golf course and right next door to a great pool. Its big!. The pool is also not too deep so really safe for the children. The balcony overlooks the sports facilities and the outdoor gym which was great fun. Having looked around the resort the apartment is one of the best positioned. I cannot fault the apartment. The PS3 was brilliant for the kids plus allows blue rays dvd music etc. The wifi access was really helpful. The picture window in the kitchen was also a lovely feature. I cannot fault the accommodation. The facilities on site are excellent. The bar is good but I would recommend shopping in the sucina supermarket, a bit cheaper than the one on site with fresh meats and 2 mins away by car. The larger supermarket in the dos Mares centre is very good and again is very easy to reach along with many beaches. You will need a car to get out and about but the resort is quiet and peaceful due to its location. It is really very easy to get around with good road links from the resort.. In my opinion it is an excellent apartment brilliant for kids and just a lovely setting with beautiful sunsets each night.

“Beautiful Apartment” We have stayed in this apartment on a few occasions and thoroughly enjoy going back there, the apartment is beautiful with a gorgeous balcony for eating and drinking on. we have stayed in a few of the apartments in this location and this apartment is by far the best, can't wait to go again.

“Couldn't be better!” Hacienda Riqelme is a little off the beaten track but the complex and penthouse itself were very easy to locate due to the excellent information provided by the owners. The whole golf complex - roads, gardens and communal areas - has been well thought out and is kept immaculate and I doubt there is a better equipped holiday home on the development. The owners have thought of everything. The decor is unfussy and very pleasing to the eye. There is plenty of comfortable seating for both lounging and dining and the beds are huge and very welcoming. The big flat screen TV has a wealth of multi-language channels to choose from. There is a DVD player with a selection of films, and a PS3 playstation to keep the kids amused. Every appliance imaginable has been provided and, unusually in my experience, everything works. George Clooney standing by to operate the Nespresso machine, would have been a bonus! The gasBBQ and huge terrace were put to very good use during our stay. With a well-equipped supermarket and a bar/restaurant on the complex, there was no need to venture far. The complex was however well placed for exploring the interesting towns and beaches in the area. We would rate this penthouse as one of the best we have ever stayed in during our many years of holiday home rentals.
