About the home

This apartment is newly furnished in a fresh and comfortable way to cater for families and golfers interested in a get-away break. It is perfectly situated next to the gated pool (access through the garden) with a covered and furnished terrace overlooking the 18 hole, Jack Nicklaus designed championship golf course, mountains and beautiful landscape of the Hacienda Riquelme.

The apartment has 2 twin bedrooms with a sofa bed in the lounge. There is air conditioning in the lounge and bedrooms with central heating for the cooler months. The apartment building is surrounded by grassy areas for the children to play, including benches and fountains in the communal areas and the pathways are lit at night for easy access and perfect for an evening stroll.

For golfers, buggies can be parked up for a refreshment break at the apartment. Plenty of golf to be seen from the terrace and pool area, otherwise there is entertainment in the apartment such as CD player, TV with UK Channels and DVD. The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering and you can dine indoors or out on the terrace.

Also within walking distance, there is currently being finished, a sports area and children's play area, including tennis courts, football court and a basketball court.

Bedroom One - two singles or one double bed, air-conditioning, bedside tables, mirror, fitted double wardrobe with drawers.

Bathroom - fully fitted bathroom with WC, bidet, bath, shower, mirror and extractor fan.

Leading from the lounge is a large private terrace that borders the communal gardens, pool and golf course. Easy access from underground car park to the apartment. Lift situated outside the apartment.

Currently there are 2 loungers and a dining table and 4 chairs for the terrace.

The garden is watered by a sprinkler system which is activated by the gardeners. The garden is very new at the moment. The outside feels very safe as there is 24hr security at the Hacienda Riquelme as it is a gated community.

At night the view from the terrace is lovely, the pool is lit up and the crickets are singing!

The Murcia region

There are some gorgeous beaches in the area. The Mar Menor beaches are perfect for children as the water is shallow and warm with further beaches available along the Costa Calida coastline catering for watersports enthusiasts including kite surfing , windsurfing , jet skiing, water skiing ,canoeing and sailing. The Mar Menor is a lagoon separated from the Mediterranean sea by the La Manga del Mar Menor and the La Manga strip, there is a ferry boat that takes you across if you wish to spend the day there.

The average temperature is 21 degrees and over 320 days of sunshine makes it the perfect climate for sun worshippers and golfers. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping malls to visit along with historic cities like Murcia and Cartagena to soak up some architecture and atmosphere with the tapas bars that line the streets. There are plenty of harbours to visit with seafood restaurants and sailing boats to watch.

The Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort / Polaris World, Hacienda Riquelme area

The Hacienda Riquleme is set around an 18 hole par 72 golf course and is one of the most spacious of all the Polaris World resorts.Every care has been taken to preserve the charm of this historical estate and the theme of the original Hacienda, with landscaped gardens, water features and views through the valley. At the moment there is a supermarket(where you can buy Polaris Wine, its red and from the Jumilla region), cafe/bar, pro-shop, driving range and academy.

Work is under way to complete the restoration on the original Hacienda providing shops, restaurants, banks and a spa. ( Completion date June 2010)

Work has started on the sports area , there is an outside gym with weights and cv machines to use. The tennis and mulit sports courts are due to be finished in the April 2010.

Bikes can be hired on the Hacienda , they are delivered to and collected from the apartment.

The golf is booked at the pro-shop and there are special deals that run throughout the year to play at the other Polaris World resorts in the local area. (The Jack Nicklaus Golf Trail) There are discounted green fees for all residents.

If you fancy 9 holes there is the Sierra Golf Club that is 10 mins from the Hacienda just past the United Golf in La Tercia and they charge a flat 15€ for 9 holes and 25€ euros if you want to go round twice.

There is a shuttle bus running 4 times daily to take guests between the resorts. There is usually a timetable on display at the pro shop and cafe/bar. Guests can make use of the restaurants bars and golf courses at these resort
