The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Var region

The Gulf of Saint Tropez is well known for it's superb summer climate. You can expect temperature of 26 to 36°C and sunshine every day. with a sea breeze that picks up in the afternoon, so that it never gets too hot.

The beaches, golf courses and water sports are the main attractions of the area, but plenty is to be discovered in the many medieval towns and villages in the surrounding countryside.

The principality of Monaco and the towns of Antibes & Cannes are well worth a visit during your stay whilst attractions like the glass blowing factory of Biot or the perfume manufactuers of Grasse offer a good day out.


Gulf of Saint-Tropez / Grimaud area

You can have a relaxing holiday or you can try sport fishing for tuna, rent a boat for the day, or if you don't have a licence, then rent an electric boat and tour Port Grimaud. Saint Tropez's night life and Pamplone beach restaurants are world renown. Visit local markets every day in neighbouring villages or do the "grand canyon" in the Verdon natural park just 45 kms in land. You can fly to Nice (70kms) with all the principal companies and Easyjet. Most car hire companies are represented at the airport. An alternative is Toulon (45kms), which is a smaller airport where RyanAir operate from.

By train the nearest station is in St. Raphael (25kms).

If you choose to drive then you will find the French autoroutes are excellent despite the toll charges. You can leave the A8 either at Le Luc (35kms) or Le Muy (30kms). Le Luc provides a pleasant scenic (twisting) route over the Maures mountains via La Garde Freinet whilst Le Muy offers a less dramatic route via Sainte Maxime. However, this option comes at the cost of traffic jams whilst the first option is quite fluid and brings you to within 500m of the road leading to the villa.

The villa is comfortable and offers TV (free to air English channels), DVD, CD & WIFI. You can dine inside or out. The kitchen is equipped with a Godin range cooker and "American" fridge with ice dispenser. The master bedroom has twin electric beds and a large en suite bathroom with twin wash basins, WC, spa bath and separate shower. The two bedrooms upstairs share a bathroom with bath/shower & wash basin and separate WC. The 4th bedroom has a shower and WC just across the hallway.

Further details outdoors:
Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be taken on the south facing terrace where a teak table and chairs for eight are protected from the sun by large parasols. A gas barbeque provides succulent al fresco eating (if you don't burn it!). The garden surrounds the villa, with it's own swimming pool on the north side. Here you can soak up the sun or lie in the shade and enjoy the pool water at 28°C+. Ample parking is provided behind coded electric gates and the villa benefits from the security of a further set of coded gates at the entrance to the estate.


Further details

We are available during your holiday to advise and help you and cope with any problems. We check and clean the pool regularly and keep the garden maintained during your visit. The cleaning women will come in once mid-week, at the week-end and for the final clean. A change of sheets and towels is offered on Saturday morning. A separate laundry room with washing machine,dryer and ironing board is situated across the conservatory in the garage block.


Conditions

We request a 30% payment by bank transfer with your booking.
The balance, together with a 500 pound refundable deposit, is payable 6 weeks prior to your arrival.
