About the home

The beautifully renovated cottage has plenty of room to relax and enjoy the peaceful surrondings. It has a fully fitted kitchen and the large indoor dining area easily seats six adults.
The spacious lounge (30ft) has 36 inch screen television, satellite TV, video, DVD player, radio and CD player and an XBox game for the children. .
The fully tiled bathroom has a bath with shower attachment and glass screen, WC and washbasin. There is also a separate WC and washbasin.
The spacious master double-bedoom has doors leading to the patio area and lovely beamed ceilings and exposed stone wall feature. There is also a large double glass fronted wardrobe bedside cabinets and table lamps. The light and airy second bedroom has a double sized bunkbed with single bed above. There is a double wardrobe, bedside cabinet and reading lamp with velux windows above. We have a cot with bedding and highchair available for our younger guests.
Outside you will find the above ground swimming pool, patio area and barbeque, lawned secure play area for the children, horse paddocks and ample parking.

Towels, linen, cot, highchair and food welome pack are all provided free on arrival. A further extensive library of books, DVDs, CDs, Exbox games and video casettes are available by request.

Outside the front of the cottage is a large patio area which is perfect for alfresco dining, cooked on the newly installed barbeque, while the children play in the pool close by.

To the rear of the cottage is an enclosed grassed area, with table and chairs, a perfect setting to enjoy the sun setting behind the hills of the Mene Bre.

Our three acres of garden and wooded area provide a place for children to play safely in. Ample parking is also available.

Kerscanvic Cottages is hidden down a quiet country lane, yet close to the medieval market town of Guingamp. Guingamp has all the amenities you wil need for your stay, from supermarkets, bar tabacs, restuarants, hairdressers, clothing and shoe shops, it also has its own football stadium and swimming baths.

A two minute drive will take you to Amoury Leisure Park or a 10 minute drive will take you to the Pink Granite Coast with its fantastic scenery and beautiful beaches.

The pool is open between May to September.

The Brittany / Cotes-D'Armor region

The Cote d'amour has some of the most stunning scenary ranging from the long winding tree lined ,"Trieux " river vally up to the unspoilt beaches and coves of the Pink Granite Coast.

The Medieval Market towns that appear all over the region are steeped in history and provide that authentic French shopping experience. Relax at the pavement cafe's and watch the world go by whilst enjoying the long evenings of sunshine.

The Guingamp / Pedernec area

Guingamp, is the nearest large market town to Kerscanvic Cottages. The town has twice weekly markets with local produce and livestock for sale.There are three large supermarkets, a public swimming pool, boutiques, hairdressers, boulangeries, chemists, doctors and dentists and many cafes with excellent food on offer.

The town has its own football club and newly built stadium, the team are current French cup winners.

In the summer, festivals of music and dance take place in traditional Breton dress and is performed in the church square. Local bands also perform at the weekends.

The villages of Plouisy, Begard and Pedernec are all close by and all have bouloungeries, bar tabacs and village shops. Throughout the summer they hold car boot sales, various fetes, horse shows and local produce sales.

Various activities including pony treking,golf, paint balling and the action packed Amoripark are all close by.

The Pink Granite coast with its beautiful beaches are a short drive away.
