The Brittany region
Situated in the heart of the Breton countryside, Kermeury is at the end of its own lane , used by the occupants of Kermeury, the postlady and the occasional tractor ! It is peaceful ,quiet and private. A wonderful place to relax, walk or cycle.
The beautiful North coast with small islands dotted around is just a 30 minute drive away. There are many beaches from the busy with restaurants to the quiet coves and beaches with rockpools and miles of sand. St Efflam is a large quiet beach, Tregastel is beautiful and Perros Guirrec is busier with restaurants along the promenade, along with many others you will just find as you drive along the coast
We are well situated for many larger towns, Guingamp, a walled town , Lannion with its ancient interesting architecture, Morlaix with its viaduct and river not to mention the popular market on a Saturday morning. Quimper is a bit further but is well worth a visit, a place where you can sit overlooking the main square and cathedral and soak up the French atmosphere. Concarneau is next to Quimper another realy interesting coastal town
Befou forest is within walking distance of the house , with its paths and walkways, Guerlesquin is a very pretty small town with a lake and fishing, and Callac about 15 miutes away also has a lake and fishing.
