Home description

Le Sablot is in a private setting with no visible neighbours Ideal for somewhere to get away for your christmas break or summer holiday, the area is ideal for walking and cycling .
There are two local equestrian centres in Poudenas and Gabarret and canoeing available in Mezin nearby. We have local restaurants in the village just one and a half kilometres away. There is also a lot of sight seeing to do.
The house has ample space offering a large lounge, snug and four double bedrooms and sleeps 8 ,although we can sleep 10 on request .The pool has a shallow end so ideal for children.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Lot et Garonne region

Gueyze is situated on the edge of three departments Lot et Garonne, Landes and Gers.
Fantastic walking and cycling in the lands forest.

Auch is the capital of Gers ,You can visit local markets to buy local produce. Lot et Garonne is one of the main fruit producing areas in France, known as the largest orchard in France. It is particularly famous for the pruneaux d`agen whose produce dates back to the 15thcentury and is a subject of a museum in Granges-sur-lot.The department is also rich in wines Duras and Buzet . And Armagnac to the south of the department.

Gueyze area

Throughout the summer there are an number of Fetes and festivals. Every Wednesday evening in July and August, Sos hold a producers market, where you can sample local food and wine. About 2 hours away are the Pyrénées Mountains with their ski resorts, white water rafting and hiking trails. There is plenty of history and sights to see.There are many towns and villages to explore two being Condom and Nérac. Take a visit to Lourdes, it is one of the most visited pilgrimage town in the world.The cities of Pau Bordeaux and Tolouse Are a drive away offering great shopping trips.

There are many swimming lakes to choose from most have facilities for safe bathing,water sports and fishing.
The lot et Garonne provides superb walking country,there are many varieties of walks as there are sceneries and landscapes; from flat valley floors,and winding river paths, to gently-sloped hill climbing or forays through the pine forest.

Many riding stables offer rides and pony treks.Henry IVs bridal way is a 150-km modular circuit in the south west along the river Gelise,Osse and Baise. the route takes you across the Gascony vales and Albret hills and along the sandy paths of the Lands forest.

There are trails for cycling and mountain biking. From May through to October, the Walibi Aquitaine attraction and leisure park offers a fantastic day out on the rides.

You can visit both the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts and its 2 hours to Biarritz with its wind surfing.

You can get here via car, plane or ferry.
The ferry goes to Spain bilboa and is five hours drive.

Flybe (Bristol, Birmingham)
Easyjet (toulouse) and
Leeds/ bradford to Tolouse
You can hire a car from all airports.
You can also get here from the motorway (Autoroute) leaving junction 6 Agen we are 45 mins from there.

You can stroll around the land go for long walks in the woods or go on many cycle routes in the area.
There is a big terrace surrounding the pool where you can do lots of sun bathing.
And Plenty of land for ball games etc
