About the home

A perfect setting for a relaxing family holiday, situated in Southern Brittany. Les Arbres is a superbly equipped spacious and private holiday villa with private pool offering every home comfort and is set in a mature garden with surrounding views of a tranquil valley.

This beautiful villa offers 2 double rooms (one en suite) and three twin rooms with a further three bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen , sitting room with log burning fire and comfy sofa, separate dining room leading onto decked area for alfresco dining. Mature, south facing garden leads to pool and sun terrace. Garden and pool furniture. BBQ area. All bed linen included.

Luxuary Towel Bails can be hired for 10 euros per room. Each Towel Bail consists of two large quality bath towels, 2 hand towels and 2 face flannels.

There are a selection of books, DVD and games avaliable to use within the villa.

.To keep the children entained there are a variety of outdoor games including a badminton set and swing ball.
There is also a tree swing in shaded area.
With a variety of superb fishing locations, course fishing tackle is available for the keen fisherman.

The pool is a heated swimming pool with sun loungers and garden furniture for you to enjoy a relaxing day by the pool.

We also request an additional separate cheque of £150.00 to cover possible damages and in the event of no claims is refunded in full seven days from the date of your departure. Please send your security deposit at the same time as the rental balance.

The Brittany / Morbihan region

Southern Brittany is rich in archaeological sites and is home to the world famous standing stones of Carnac, just 30 minutes away. The region has many forests including the beautiful and legendary Brocéliande, where according to french tradition, King Arthur is supposed to have lived with his knights of the round table. A 20 minute drive will take you to the Château du Josselin set in the heart of a medieval town with its lovely gardens, dry moat and elevated towers

Well worth exploring are the many little islands of the Golfe du Morbihan. You can book day trips to tour the islands, for example Belle-Île-en-Mer and perhaps end the day sampling some of the world famous seafood from the region in one of the many fishing ports. If you prefer you can hire a boat and sail yourself around the coast.

The Bretons are very proud of their culture and hold regular fêtes, festivals and pardons. Throughout the summer open air concerts are organised where Celtic music is featured with live bands and all are welcome including children, to take part in the Breton dancing which accompanies these fêtes.

For the children's entertainment there are zoos, aquariums and even a dinosaur park.The are plenty little coastal towns to explore such as Quiberon or Port Louis and delightful villages such as Rochefort-en-Terre, Pont Scorff - a centre for craftsmen (potters, glassblowers, jewelers, leatherworkers and artists) or La Gacilly with its tropical gardens. These are a few of the many places to visit, whatever your interests there really is something for everybody.

The Guenin area

Les Arbres luxuary villa is within a 2 minute walk to fishing lake, Mini Golf (You do have to provide your own golf balls), professional Boules court (there are sets of boules at the villa to take down to the court), Children’s swing and play area. A bar selling ice creams, beer and wine and Public Toilets. The Kiosk is only open in the main weeks and is not open daily.

Guenin bakery (Boulangerie) serves fresh baguettes and croissants and is just down the road from les Arbres. The local Celtic bar offers a pool and football table and serves snacks. Every Thursday evening the Pizza van visits Guenin and can be found next to the church.

Guénin is a 5 minute drive from the market town of Baud where you can find a good selection of restaurants, shops and supermarkets with an open market on Saturday morning.

For those who enjoy sports aside from swimming in our private pool, within a short drive a range of facilities are
available. These include, horse riding (15 minutes by car), a variety of watersports on our beautiful beaches (30 minutes by car), karting (8 minutes by car), sea and river fishing (licences can be purchased in the nearby town of Baud), clay pidgeon shooting (5 minutes by car) and golf (the area offers a selection of 18 hole courses ).

Camors Adventure Forest is 5 min drive from Baud, enjoy hours of fun and excitement on circuits through tree tops, conquering your fears angd gaining confidence.

There is welcome pack available on arrival that provides leaflets and information about places to visit.

Baud is your central destination. It is situated on the D768 south of Pontivy and on the N24 west of Rennes.

Thank you for a fantastic week our girls holiday was very relaxing and we loved the french markets. It was just what we needed for the February half term, looking forward to returning again (Feb 2008)

We had a great family holiday, our children were kept entertained by the heated pool ,husbands occupied by the fishing lake , hope to return again in the future(May 2008)

Just a quick note to say tahnkyou for the use of your really lovely home, we had agreat time there. The swimming pool was just perfect. It really is a hideaway from the noisy,fast lifestyle that we have become use too in Dublin, once again many thanks regards Alan & Family (July 7th 2009)

Optional additional costs-

We offer a Towel Hire Service- £6 per bail consisting of 2 large towels, 2 hand towels and 2 face flannels.(or you can take your own)

We charge an additional £40 towards cleaning costs or you can clean it yourselves at the end of your stay

A checkin service by our English repersenstive- He will meet you on arrival, show you around the house and garden - 25 euros ( or you can be left a key in the key safe,) Most of our guests prefer to use the key safe.

4 weeks prior to your holiday you will be sent a welcome pack - it includes information about Les Arbres, places to visit, emergency contact numbers and directions etc.

Our English repersentive will be available on call should you require any help or advice etc

Please note that the private heated swimming pool will only be available from May to September.

Le Arbres sleeps 10 people but we also welcome smaller parties. If you have a smaller group of under 6 people, please contact us for a discounted rate.
