The apartment has a private 'huge roof top terrace' with views overlooking the swimming pool and extended views over the magnificent Pine and Eucalyptus El Parquet Natural (forest) with sea views in the distance!
The Puerto Pinar apartments are tastefully furnished and fully equipped throughout. We cater for all ages and take a special pride in providing children with an array of beach toys, books and children's videos/DVDs. There is a Massymas supermarket 5 minutes walk away. There are many other shops, restaurants, bars & a magnificent sandy beach within 10-15 stroll.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
People who enjoy to shop will love the splendid Guardamar and the cosmopolitan towns of Alicante, Elche, Murcia and Torrevieja. In Alicante there is a massive store called El Corte Inglés where you can buy anything!
Also set in the heart of the Costa Blanca and close by is Elche. This town is famous for its shipment of palm trees all around the word. It is also famous for its leather goods and has a factory which sells hundreds of fashionable discounted footwear!
The famous Lady of Elche which is a well-known polychrome stone Iberian art was also found by chance here, on La Alcudia, a nearby archaeological site in 1897. It represents the bust of a woman with a very complex headdress and big coils on each side of the face. Who she might have been also remains a mystery, perhaps a goddess or an Iberian princess. Murcia has the most wonderful cathedral which is well worth a trip.
If you are in search of a Island Hideaway visit the small and tranquil Tabarca Island - this Island is just a short boat trip from Guardamar Marina or Santa Pola. Once used as a hideaway by Barbary pirates and by the Spanish to house Genoese prisoners, the island has a chequered history, but today it is used by locals and tourists alike for its recreational facilities
The surrounding waters of the 2km long island were declared a national marine park in 1986. They are a paradise for those people who like to snorkel, with the abundance of marine life in the clear waters. Water sports rule the island with pedalo boats along side windsurfers and dinghies moored in the harbour next to large private yachts. Everyone is in search of that small secluded bit of paradise and whilst you can see the mainland from Tabarca there is a feeling that an undiscovered treasure has been found!
Alicante...The capital of the province, this beautiful, elegant city with a modern harbour development of sophisticated restaurants and bars built around the marina. Alicante has all the trappings of a big city but with Valencian style from the small pavements café, to the imposing department store of El Corte Ingles, here shopping can be taken very seriously!!
Elche...Is just a few km from Alicante is the ancient city of Elche, with many historical and cultural buildings. During the 19th century Dam of Elche was discovered. This bust of an Iberic Princess dates back from four centuries before Christ and is now the official symbol of the city. Elche is famous throughout Spain as a major grower of palm trees, which are exported around the world; the city also has a thriving show industry. The ‘Rio Safari Park is also in Elche, here you can enjoy a day out on safari and experience the sight of many animals living in their natural environment.
Murcia...The capital of a region known as the “Gardener of Spain” and dominated by its magnificent cathedral featuring some of the greatest examples of Spanish Baroque and Renaissance Art, elsewhere in the City you can find the Roman and Moorish periods.
Torreviaja...Translated is “old” or “ancient tower”, which is to be found on the north side of the town, overlooking the sea, originally a Moorish defence and recently restored with magnificent gardens. It is now a popular place for wedding couples to be photographed, with the blue Mediterranean as a backdrop.
Guardamar del Segura / Guardamar area
Guardamar de Segura, situated a few kilometres south of Alicante is a small typically Spanish Coastal town. It lies on the river Segura and enjoys an enviable coastal position. The town has a wonderful landscaped park where you can sit and relax, long sandy beaches and nearby pine forests.
The Dunas de Guardamar cover an area of over 800 hectares, running parallel to the coast. They are sand deposits left by the Segura River and the Sea and at one time the threat of the town being covered by sand was a real possibility, for this reason the huge expanse of pine forest was planted in the late 1800, early 1900s.
The town centre has a wide variety of shops, be it small gift shops or the supermarket and every Wednesday is market day. Restaurants and bars are plentiful with a choice of food and wine to suit most tastes and pockets. Fiestas are an important part of life in Guardamar and the atmosphere provided by the locals is something to remember.

This stunning apartment is just a 30 minute drive from Alicante and a 40 minute drive from Murcia... Airport transport service is available to all guests at local cost.

Further details indoors: There are two bedrooms, this apartment will sleep 6 as there is a sofa which will sleep 1 small adult/child and there is a z bed available for your use. We also supply a travel cot should one be required. We have another 2 bed apartment in the same complex to let either for those guests who have larger parties or separately. This apartment is on the third floor overlooking the swimming pool, with a balcony and is furnished and equipped to the same standards as the Penthouse.
We can also accommodate even larger groups as we have friends who own an apartment in the area. The apartment sleeps six and there is a travel cot and high chair available should it be required.
In Guardamar it is important to be able to eat out to take advantage of the long sunny days. The Penthouse allows you to take full advantage of eating outside as it boasts a large fully furnished private roof top terrace with extended views over the magnificent Pine and Eucalyptus El Parquet Natural forest with the sea and marina in the distance. The terrace is fully furnished to include sun beds, large table and chairs. There is also a huge chimney barbecue and since the sun shines on the roof terrace all day there is a shower to cool down! Number 40, our other apartment has a good size furnished balcony. Both the roof terrace and balcony overlooks a stunning large flood-lit swimming pool.

Further details outdoors: Guardamar is a small Spanish town located next to the mouth of the River Segura and overlooking a large expanse of sand dunes with an abundance of pines and eucalyptus. An attractive feature of the local environment is the Reina Sofïa Park where the pine groves have been enhanced with lakes; ponds, botanical routes, and the wildlife make it well worth visiting. In this park you will sea black swans, red squirrels and lots more!
There are 11 km of fine golden sands, all with the coveted blue flag award and the sparkling blue waters of the Mediterranean. Where the river Segura meets the sea, spare land was utilised and a major construction very cleverly converted it into a thriving marina providing moorings for boats of all styles and sizes. With the visitor in mind, Guardamar council have improved the sea front by making an attractive stretch of pedestrian promenade with ice-cream parlours and restaurants.
The Guardamar beaches and the mouth of the river are a fisherman's haven, you can catch the biggest fish ever for your supper! It is also possible to be taken out for days with local fishermen to some of the other coves in the area.
There are also 3 major golf courses in the area, Las Ramblas, Campoamor and Villamartin... one of the best (golf) courses in Spain, probably the best in this region and also hosted the Spanish Open - relish your time in this millionaires playground " (Fore magazine, January 2000). Close to Alicante and Torrevieja
You don't need to hire a car during your holiday in the Puerto Pinar apartments as the bus Station is also within 10 minutes walking distance where there are buses which will take you to every corner of the Coast Blanca. The local travel agent in Guardamar also runs a bus to major attractions like Torrevieja's magnificent water park, Benidorm Terra Mitica Benidorm Palace at an excellent price.
