Puerto Principe is a private development set in idyllic surroundings. This luxury apartment benefits from a communal swimming pool, garden area and space for parking located a few minutes from the town of Guadamar Del Segura approximately 30 km south of Alicante ( 20 min drive). Guardamar has a mix of international restaurants and typical Spanish Bars as well as plenty of supermarkets supplying local produce. Guardamar is famous for its beautiful blue flag beaches. It has a fabulous park with black swans, ducks, squirrels and turtles,and we are also in walking distance of the marina, The golf courses are about 10mins in the car.

Guardamar del Segura, a thousand year seat of ancestral stories and mythical legends, is part of a unique landscape which man has been changing as he improves his way of life.
This natural landscape can be divided into three sections.
The Segura River has given a source of life and a channel of communication to various settlements throughout history. This Mediterranean shelter, rich in animal and agricultural life as the river itself, has nourished civilisations. The Dunes were formed by the dredging of the river along with deposits from the sea.These covered a large area of land and formed a beautiful landscape.
By his industry man has changed these three facets of the area. Around the river "la huerta" (a market garden) was created. Salt and food, cultural exchange, trade, art and language were brought in from the sea. The Dune system settled down and "El Pinar", (Pine Trees) area was created. Its aim was to stop the village being blanketed in sand and to improve the look of the place.
Guardamar's cultural heritage is defined by this natural landscape which shows evidence of ancient civilisations. These civilisations left us their history and culture. Today we can enjoy its archeological richness, its water culture, its religious history and Equis "X" tools which were used to transform the town.

How to get there
Jet 2 have very reasonable fares. Fly to Alicante or Murcia then take the N332 to guardamar del segura, follow the sign to marina on the Port Road, Puerto Principe fase 2 is the third block on the left, behind the police station. We can arrange pick up and drop off from airports, or car hire.
