About the home

This high quality bungalow in it's own grounds is situated in the exclusive urbanisation of El Raso in Spain's Southern Costa Blanca, between Guardamar del Segura & Torrevieja. It is 25 minutes drive south of Alicante airport & 30 minutes north of Murcia airport. Accommodation consists of the living room & dining area, kitchen & utility area, 2 bedrooms(one with en-suite shower,W.C. & wash basin) & a main bathroom with bath, shower, W.C., wash basin & bidet.
For privacy, the bungalow has its own south facing gardens & sun terrace. The north facing rear patio is furnished with a settee & 2 chairs, with views over the communal gardens & pool. The roof top solarium for private sunbathing has sun loungers with some beach towels provided & an integral BBQ. A dining table & chairs are also available there. An outside tap & hose for cooling down are also provided.
The closest town of Guardamar with shopping, bars, restaurants & beaches is 5 minutes' drive. The main shopping town of Torrevieja, which also has beaches & nightlife, is 10 minutes away. The local Sunday morning market is a 2 minute drive or twenty minute stroll. There are bars, restaurants & shops in the development, only 500 metres walk from the property.
The location is ideal both for family, beach type holidays & for golfing holidays. There is a communal swimming pool & gardens just at the rear of the property. The closest beach is only 4 minutes drive. Watersports are available along the beach. The nearest golf (Rojales) is 10 minutes & 4 further golf courses are within 20 minutes. Tennis is available in Guardamar town. The development is on the shores of one of the area's salt lake lagunas, where pleasant walks can be taken.

The master bedroom has the option of a double bed, or 2 singles. Bedroom 2, with 2 single beds, has patio doors for easy access to the patio & communal pool area at the rear of the property. The lounge bed settee could sleep a 1 further person.
Hot & cold air conditioning is in the living area & in both bedrooms. A flat screen Satellite T.V. with Brirish stations is available in the living room & can be watched from the comfort of the 2 luxurious leather settees. An i-pod station & CD player are supplied. A safe has been installed for storing valuables.
The kitchen/utility area is fully equipped with washing machine, hob/oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, toaster & kettle. A vaccum cleaner,brushes mops & buckets are also available for cleaning.

Further details outdoors:
The bungalow, communal gardens & pool are all within a private gated community, giving privacy for all & security & safety for families with younger children.
The beautiful pool & landscaped gardens area are easily accessed from the patio door leading out from bedroom 2 & are ideal for peace & relaxation.
The bungalow also has its own private garden to the front & patio to the rear.

Conditions

25% deposit required at time of booking, with balance to be paid 6 weeks before rental period.
60 euro cleaning & laundry fee to be paid directly to key holder when collecting key.

Any damages to be paid for in full. A refundable £100 deposit cheque against any potential damages is required as a separate payment. The deposit will be returned within 2 weeks, once the bungalow has been checked by the caretaker..

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

The Costa Blanca boasts one of the best climates in Europe. It has over 320 days of sunshine each year, with average midday temperatures of 21degrees C. and remarkably low rainfall.

Other towns within 40 minutes of the area worth visiting are Murcia, Cartagena,Elche & Alicante. The famous La Manga club is about an hour away, as is Benidorm, with its waterparks etc. The romantic city of Valencia is around two & half hours drive.

The Guardamar del Segura / Elraso area

The area has everything you need for a fantastic holiday!! The beaches to the north of Torrevieja are long and shallow and in common with most Costa Blanca Beaches are awarded the blue flag each year for facilities and water quality. Some of the best golf courses in Spain can be found in the area.Rojales course is only 10 minutes away.
Guardamar del Segura (the closest town) is a small typical Spanish costal town and is about 4 km away. It lies on the river Segura in an evniable costal position. The town has a wonderful landscaped park where you can sit and relax, together with long sandy beaches and nearby pine forests. Sand deposits left by the Segura river meeting the sea cover an area of over 800 hectars running parallel to the coast. The threat of the town being covered by sand was a real possibility and for this reason the huge expanse of pine forest leading down to the beaches was planted in the early 1900's. The white sandy beaches of Guardamar are some of the finest in the region stretching more than 7 kms.

The history of Guardamar dates from the 10th Century when it was inhabited by the Moors. The remains of the castle can be seen and of particular interest is the Iberian settlement of Cabezo Lucero where La Dama de Guardamar (lady of Guardamar) dating from the 4th Century BC can be found.

Local fiestas are celebrated in Guardamar all year round. The main festivals are at Easter and on the 21st June when bonfires are lit in the town and fireworks explode from the castle. In September and October the festivals of Virgin of Fatima and Rosario are celebrated. They are a vonderful opportunity to take part in traditional Spanish custom and are a fun way to spend an evening.

“Tranquility, Peace, Relaxation and super location” We have stayed at El Rasso several times. The villa is beautifully located and very well appointed. Ease of access and proximity to services is the best I have seen yet. The advice booklet in the villa is top notch. Colin and Carolyn have made staying so easy and effortless. Everything you need is there and fully explained which takes the stress out of staying abroad in rented accomadation. It was a pleasure staying at this villa.

A non refundable 25% confirmation deposit is requested at the time of booking.

The final balance is required 6 weeks prior to the rental start date.

All damages, breakages,necessary excessive cleaning or laundry must be paid for in full.

A separate refundable payment of £100 against damages, breakages or extra cleaning/laundry is also required with the final balance payment. The bungalow is inspected before & after occupancy. If there is no damage the £100 will be refunded within 2 weeks from the end of the rental period.

There is an additional 65 euro per stay Laundry & cleaning charge, paid to the key holder on arrival.

If additional cleaning is required, this can be arranged & paid through the keyholder.

The property needs to be vacated by 11.00am on the day of departure & may not be available until 4.00pm on the arrival day.

The owners cannot accept responsibility for any delays or cancellation due to flight delays/cancellations, or the volcanic ash problem.
