About the home

The property is located in El Raso on a secure sought after gated community with a fantastic pool set in beautiful gardens shared by only 39 houses. El Raso is in Spain's southern Costa Blanca between Guardamar del Segura and Torrevieja. Only 25 minutes drive from Alicante airport.

The property is close to excellent bars and restaurants (500 metres) that offer a wide range of entertainment and food to suit all tastes and pockets. It is important to stress that although close to all facilities the property is set within gardens that are peaceful and secure.

Accommodation consists of an open plan lounge dining area, kitchen and utility area, 3 double bedrooms (one with en-suite shower, WC and wash basin) and a main bathroom with bath, shower, WC, wash basin and bidet.

The master bedroom on the first floor is en suite, has a double bed and a sofa bed and leads out onto the large sun terrace which is totally private. Wardrobe space is provided by a walk in room.

Bedroom 2 is on the ground floor, has a double bed, ample fitted wardrobe space and overlooks the pool.

Bedroom 3 is on the ground floor, has two single beds, ample wardrobe space and has patio doors that give easy access to the pool area at the rear of the property.

Hot and cold air conditioning is provided in all rooms.

The kitchen is fully equipped with hob/oven, washing machine/dryer, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer kettle, toaster and all dishes, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils necessary for your stay.

For those who just want a quiet and restful holiday there is the pool and gardens or the choice to sunbathe on the private sun terrace and just read a good book.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

The Costa Blanca which means White Coast in Spanish extends along the south-eastern part of the Mediterranean coast and consists of two clearly different parts: A range of mountains to the north run parallel to the sea and descend to form magnificent cliffs, and to the southern part of the Costa Blanca there is a vast plain of palm trees and salt deposits which frame the famous beaches of Guardamar and Torrevieja.

Torrevieja is a beautiful town on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. With its excellent weather, stunning coastline and abundance of culture, the area is quickly developing into one of the most well respected destinations within the Costa Blanca. Originally a small fishing village, Torrevieja has grown considerably over the years into a picturesque town surrounded by some of the most envied beaches of the world.

With their breathtaking crystal clear waters and fine sand, it comes as no surprise to learn that the beaches of Torrevieja – Los Naufragos, Los Locos, El Acequion, El Cura and La Mata – have all held the distinguished European Blue flag award for many years. Most of these beaches and others nearby (such as the 44km long beaches of La Manga) have many features including entertainment for children, bars, restaurants, beach sports, and paragliding and water sports.

The Guardamar del Segura / Elraso area

The Spanish coastal town of Guardamar is close by, where even the Spanish people come for their holidays, as it still holds the Spanish charm with all the modern facilities. It's only 5 minutes drive away and offers the best beaches on the Costa Blanca together with shopping, bars, restaurants and lovely dune walks. The main shopping town of Torrevieja is only 10 minutes drive away and offers excellent beaches, bars and nightlife.

For those who prefer sporting activity there are three golf courses within 15 minutes drive, swimming and watersports on lovely safe beaches within 5 minutes, excellent walks around the salt lakes of La Mata only 10 minutes away on foot. Tennis and Badminton etc are available in Guardamar.

Guardamar del Segura is a desirable tourist destination with its beautiful landscape of sand dunes fringed by eucalyptus and palm trees, 11km of fine sandy beaches, historical and festive attractions. Guardamar is a beautiful unspoilt area of the Costa Blanca. The town is typically Spanish with a wide selection of restaurants, bars and shops. The area benefits from a huge nature reserve which is popular for walking and picnics and runs along much of the Coastline ensuring that the beach remains protected from over development.

Visit the local sand dunes or the attractive Reina Sofia Park where the pine groves have been enhanced with lakes, ponds and wildlife. The beach is one of the best for cleanliness and safety, and has a blue flag award to prove it.

The resort of Torrevieja with its excellent shops, bars, markets (day and night), fairs and many other attractions, not to mention its great nightlife and cultural scene, is 20 min away. The area has a superb choice of golf courses for our guests. Elche with its famous palm park and the cities of Murcia, Alicante and Cartagena are all within easy reach with their own unique attributes. TheTerra Mitica Theme Park and the resort of Benidorm are approx 80min away. Both Alicante and Murcia airports are an easy 35min drive.

From a cultural aspect visitors may consider attending some of the many famous Spanish Fiestas that take place in the area. Most notably these include: Elche Easter Holy Week celebrations, Moors and Christian Fiestas in Guardamar and Torrevieja, Three Kings Fiestas over the Christmas period and the local Fiesta which takes place throughout the month of September.

Getting to El Raso is very simple. The property is close to two airports with flights from all over the UK. Alicante airport is only 20 minutes away and Murcia airport is only 35 minutes away. Both airports have cheap flights available from Ryanair, Easyjet, Monarch and Jet 2.

Car hire is readily available from both airports directly on site and can be booked over the internet. Taxis are also available.
