The perfect location to relax, enjoy the beautiful surroundings and yet just a few kms away from Todi, with all its architectural charm, restaurants and cafe bars.
The large lounge with open stone fireplace is very cosy, with large sofa and chair, large dining table and chairs and fully fitted kitchen. Up a flight of stairs to reach the bedrooms. There are two double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with shower, a sofa-bed in the lounge can convert, if required, to sleep 6 in total. The options for dining, whether breakfast, lunch or dinner are many. Have breakfast under the covered portico with its large antique table, looking out onto the lovely mediterranean courtyard with its pretty shrubs. Relax and dine on the terrace, with its beautiful large table and relaxing chairs and coffee tables, watching the sunset or take a snack under the airy pergola and catch a breeze in the hot summer sun.

Perfect for that large group - 2 families sharing 2 properties and of course the grounds/garden amazing terrace with its beautiful furniture for dining and relaxing makes the accommodation truly unique - experience the olde worlde charme of the castle accommodation whilst enjoying the benefits of the villa's beautiful pool and terrace. Walk through the amazing ancient arched entrance into the castle's inner courtyard, where you will find, up a flight of exterior steps, entrance to the old schoolhouse. Enter through an arched door straight up a flight of stairs and enter into the expansive, luminous room, full of character wiuth its exposed beams, large fitted authentic Italian kitchen, dining area with large table and six chairs, lovely lounge area and large sofa which, Lovely feature open fireplace. This floor also includes two lovely romantic double bedrooms and 2 ensuite bathrooms with shower with their exposed beams, characteristic furniture and finishings, really make it an enchanting accommodation.
Up a flight of steps to reach the third bedroom, entering through an area characteristic of the old school house with the bedroom, ideal for children, through a door on the left with low hung beams and double bed - a charming area and even has its very own safety gate !
The castle schoolhouse has wifi in the communal area around the infinity poolterrace.

The Umbria region
Umbria is an enchanting and mystical region which lies next to Tuscany and therefore in a most perfect location in central Italy. Known as the green heart of Italy, the region has a wonderful mixture of panorama, rolling hills covered with vineyards, olive groves and fields upon fields of sunflowers, medieval hill towns dot the landscape, mountains with pine forests and its lakes and waterfalls. Lake Trasimeno is no doubt a mystical lake, a favorite with Italians, where you can take a 15 minute boat ride to reach one of the Islands famous for lacemaking and lovely lakeside restaurants. World famous places such as Assisi, Orvieto, Perugia, Spoleto are just 40 minutes away from Todi. Also Deruta, home to the world famous Renaissance majolica-ceramics, only 20 minutes drive away. Umbrian olive oil is one of Italy's finest and its wines especially the renowned Orvieto Classico bianco, the wonderful Grechetto, a fantastic straw coloured wine and for a strong red, Montefalco Sagrantino will sure to impress the most discerning of wine buffs.
The palazzo apartment therefore provides a fantastic base from which to discover not to be missed places such as Assisi, Spoleto, Spello, Orvieto and Perugia – all within 40 mins. drive away and the wonderful wine areas surrounding Montefalco. Lake Trasimeno and Cortona,Tuscany within 1 hour. Todi is located 5 minutes to E-45 Superstrada close to all Umbrian destinations, and the A-1 Autostrada del Sole to Rome (1.5 hours) and Florence (2 hours), making it that perfect location to explore central Italy and all its rich cultural heritage.
The Etruscan town of Todi is placed on top of a hill dominating the Tiber River and its valley and is a flourishing Umbrian centre where quality of life is considered as the best in the world and was given this prestigious title some years ago. Many classic Hollywood films have been rolled out in this famous Piazza. Todi is the home town of medieval Italian poet Jacapone. Todi boasts three beautiful churches, its Duomo in the piazza, Jacapone's church of Sam Fortunato and the beautiful Basilica of Santa Maria Consolazzione.
You will be amazed by its beauty - Todi's piazza is classed as one of the finest in Italy and boasts two palaces, one a museum exhibiting fine art and antiques. There are many fine bars and restaurants to choose from and the many craft shops will be a delight. Todi hosts a very busy events calendar and all through the summer months many varying events take place such as craft and prestigious antiques fair in April, Todi in Flower in May, Todi Tango Festival in June, international hot air baloon Grand Prix in July, alfresco concerts under the stars during August, Todi Arts Festival in September, live theatre and shows throughout the year. Take a walk around Todi and take in the medieval air and experience the magnificence of the architecture, the churches, the palaces and take in its ambiance.
