The villa is inside a secular wood with ancient oaks, right in between Grottaferrata and Frascati, the whole area is called Castelli Romani (Roman Castles), the place is famous since the time of romans since they were used to come here spending the summer time since it is up on the hills in the southern part of Rome and the climate is never too hot. It belongs to the ancient family of the Counts of Campello, it has 3 double rooms, 3 bathrooms, a cloakroom, a kitchen, a dining-room, a living room, a beautiful terrace and parking space.
The villa is lived, in some periods of the year, by the owners, and so the furnishing is taken care in all the details: from the warm mural paintings, to the decorations of the objects of furnishing, and has many comforts for its guests.
The house is 5 minutes walking from the historic center of Grottaferrata, famous for the Abbey of saint Nilo, built in the Xi century, it has a great Byzantine mosaic, some paintings of Domenichino and Carracci and a library furnished of ancient codes, which are a great tourist attraction.
The house is located near the St Anagnina and only a few kilometers away from the subway which takes to Rome city centre.
The Airport of Ciampino is 10 minutes away, and the Airport of Fiumicino 45 minutes.
The center of Rome is 20 km away, easily accessible by car, subway, train and bus.
Near Grottaferrata there is Frascati, famous for its wine, the eighteenth-century villas, among which of particular interest villa Mondragone, villa Ruffinella, villa Grazioli, villa Lancellotti and the spectacular villa Aldobrandini which, for its position and its majesty, seems to dominate the city of Frascati. Besides, the Roman ruins of the archeological park Tuscolo that cannot be forgotten, they are still today a wonder of these places; Castel Gandolfo, which is the summer residence of the Pope, and has a suggestive lake; Nemi, steep in the woods, owns the lake in which were found the famous Roman ships; Marino, famous for its wine.
For the lovers of golf, the Roman Castles offers two possibilities. In fact in about 20 minutes you can arrive to two fields: the golf of Fioranello and the golf of Castel Gandolfo.
The proximity with the film studios of Cinecittà (15 minutes), makes this house, particularly comfortable for all those people who works in the world of show business.
To stay in a place of this type, is particularly suitable for who loves nature, calm and the privacy without forgetting the proximity with the city of Rome and all of its cultural attractions.
Also for who works in the south of Rome could be interested to come to stay here because in few minutes can arrive at work. One of the most important companies is Esrin European Space Research Institute, that is situated in Frascati.
