Mas Lou Magnan ia a 200 year old typical stone house in the village of Grospierres. The west wing has been sympathetically converted and now comprises just two independent studio gites with their own private roofed balconies and the use of a beautiful 9 x 5m swimming pool.
Gite TOURTERELLE is situated on the first floor up a few stone steps and benefits from stunning views of the mountains. It also has the advantage of lovely traditional patterned French floor tiles. On the same floor is an optional king size bedroom next door with private shower room should there be more than two in your party. This is available at 150-200 euros per week. The studio is light and airy with glistening new en suite shower rooms. It looks out onto a large shaded lawn and garden with an original old well, leading to the swimming pool with relaxing sun loungers.
The gite has a coin cuisine with a 2-ring electric hob, a fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave and is fully-equipped. There is a small dining area; double bed with good reading lights, comfortable seating, TV and DVD player. Outside on the terrace is a table and seating for 4. A barbecue is available. All bedding and room towels provided at no extra cost. Use of the washing machine, iron and hair dryer are all available.

The Rhone / French Alps / Ardeche region
The dramatic countryside, vineyards, flower gardens and views in the Ardeche are stunning. The climate is Mediterranean with beautiful weather extending from early spring and late autumn.
There are colourful markets in St Paul Le Jeune, St Ambroix, Les Vans and Barjac, to name but a few. The towns of Montelimar, Nimes, Ales, Uzes, Ales, Orange and Avignon are all within an easy drive.
There are wonderful local medieval villages to discover such as Balazuc, Vogue, Labaume, Banne, Vallon Pont d'Arc and Vinezac as well as well-known caves and grottoes.
The area is very popular for cyclists and walkers alike.
Grospierres area
Grospierres is wonderfully situated for endless activities: Canoeing and kayaking are hugely popular and within a minute's drive on the River Ardeche also offers excellent beaches and river swimming. The Gorges de l'Ardeche are just a few minutes' drive away. There is horse riding, paragliding, motocross, karting, tennis, country walks amid the vineyards and sunflowers from the doorstep, cycling or just paddling in the stream close by.
Grospierres offers a supermarket within 10 minutes walk as well as an excellent bar and restaurant. A hypermarket can be found 10 minutes drive away in Ruoms. Fresh fruit and flowers are available from the roadside in season.
How to get there
Fly to Nimes from Luton and Liverpool; to Avignon from Leeds and Edinburgh. Nearest train station is Montelimar. By road, leave the Autoroute du Soleil (A7-E15) at Junction 16 for Privas or 17 for Montelimar.
