Derry city is the only completely Walled City in the British Isles dating back to the 17th century. It has recently won the coveted title of UK City of Culture for 2013.
Amara has panoramic views of the Lough Foyle, the hills of Donegal and local countryside. Although it has a rural setting there is a great sea view and the local city of Derry and town of Limavady are easily accessible for shopping, eating out, theatre, festivals, parks, museums etc.
Onsite to Amara is My Little Kitchen Cookery School which provides a fun and relaxed cooking environment where guests can learn modern cooking skills through a hands on cooking program, see www.mylk.co.uk for more details.
