It has been recently refurbished but has retained much of its original 'look', with authentic furnishings and decoration to match the period; and will delight anyone who fancies spending some time in an original Irish cottage. Greencastle has a picturesque harbour area, and there is a ferry service crossing the Foyle on a regular basis: - convenient for car trips to the Giants Causeway, Bushmills, Dunluce Castle, and other attractions along the Antrim Coast in Northern Ireland.

Grencastle is also noted as a fishing village and much to offer with many fine restaurants like Kielys famous seafood restaurants, pubs with lively traditional music, maritime museum and Cairn visitor centre.
