Herring House is a stunning barn conversion in Winterton-on-Sea.
The main bedroom has a 5' double bed and an ensuite bathroom whilst the second bedroom has a bunk bed (big enough for adults) and it's own bathroom with shower over bath. The kitchen and dining room look out over the courtyard garden. The highlight is a large upstairs living room with floor-to-ceiling windows which occupies the entire first floor.
Outside is a small private garden and a larger garden shared with the other cottages.
The Cottage is only a 10 minute walk from the lovely sandy beach and dunes (with excellent cafe) whilst the village's pub and fish and chip shop are locally renowned.
Tucked away in one of Norfolk's prettiest coastal villages, and within 700 yards of a glorious sandy beach, this Barn Conversion offers a welcoming holiday break, whatever the season. The perfect spot in which to relax and unwind with the dunes' Nature Reserve 6 mile circular walk almost on the doorstep, it sits just 350 yards from the local pub renowned for its good food.
The General stores, Post Office, fish and chip shop are all under 200 yards away. Fishing, day boat hire and sailing on the beautiful Broads (6miles), quaint market towns, craft centres and medieval Norwich (21 miles), with its cathedral, castle, museums, fine shopping.

Winterton-on-Sea is a small seaside village on a beautiful sandy and unspoiled Norfolk beach.
There is a village store stocking almost everything you will need, a Post Office which is also a newsagents and a grocery shop, a Fish & Chip shop and a 300 year old Public House which is Egon Ronay recommended. By the beach is the award-winning Dunes Café which serves teas & coffees, snacks & meals, beach requisites and, of course, a full range of Ice Cream.
Winterton-on-Sea is a beautiful, sandy Norfolk beach, with a wonderfully lonely feel. Backed by sand dunes and a nature reserve, it's a seemingly endless stretch: the type of beach where you can walk for miles and barely see another soul. Pools of water often form on the beach, creating safe places for children to play.
Our dunes nature reserve is within the "Area of outstanding Natural Beauty" (SSSI and SAC) and is ideal for bird watchers and walkers. And do not miss our colony of 30/40 seals that "live" just north of Winterton-on-Sea.

We (my husband, myself, our two children aged 2 and 5 and our dog) had a great stay at Herring House with extended family staying in Marram House, next door. The property is nicely decorated and very spacious, with a large living room, a good size kitchen/dining room and separate en-suite to the master bedroom as well as family bathroom and a bunkbed room. The owners have provided everything you could want and the house is spotless. The garden is also larger than it looks on the pictures. The area is absolutely lovely with a great beach cafe offering fab homemade cakes and a local pub that serves great food. Winterton beach is absolutely lovely with excellent sand dunes to walk through, both of which are dog friendly. What more could you want?
