The East Anglia region

Norfolk is on average the sunniest and driest county in England. It also boats the least windiest coast and is regularly one of the warmest places in the country. Enjoy Norfolk's renowned big skies, clean bathing waters and beautiful sandy beaches or discover the iconic Norfolk Broads, just a few miles to the west, where you'll find stunning waterways, riverside pubs, country cottages and nature reserves perfect for exploring. You will marvel in the wonders of this picturesque and deeply historic region, full of charm and appeal and we are sure you will agree with us that it is East Anglia's most magical county.

The fine city of Norwich is close by with its vibrant nightlife, lots of pubs and restaurants, buzzing shoppers, packed with heritage, and alive with street entertainers, arts and music. The atmosphere here is contagious and you'll find there's so much to see and so many things to do in Norwich, you may need to stay a little longer. Shop until you drop - Norwich has been voted one of the top shopping destinations in Britain or just enjoy the heritage - Norwich has the most complete Medieval city in the UK with fascinating museums, a magnificent Norman cathedral, ancient pubs, a Norman castle, cobbled streets, a jumble of Medieval lanes and half-timbered houses.

Great Yarmouth

Great Yarmouth, Norfolk's premiere seaside resort, is just 4 miles to the south and provides plenty of opportunity for traditional seaside fun. As one of the UK's top beach resorts there is plenty to see and do, a superb choice of places to eat and drink, a bustling town centre, beautiful wide sandy beaches stretching as far as the eye can see, and also lots of surrounding pretty villages and there country cottage appeal. Greater Yarmouth has a beautiful coastline with beaches to suit every taste, quiet deserted beaches, sand dunes and not a soul in sight to traditional seaside family fun beaches with deck chairs, bouncy castles and donkey rides - in fact Great Yarmouth has 15 miles of glorious golden sandy beaches.

The village of California is just 5 minutes walk away and has a good pub that serves food and has regular live entertainment. There is a bakery, village shop, fish n chip shop, Chinese takeaway, Abigail`s Bistro, Moments restaurant, the new East Coast restaurant, village Post Office, indoor and outdoor swimming pools all within a few minutes walk!
