The Worcestershire region
Worcestershire is located in the Heart of England and offers a blend of outstanding scenery and places to visit to suit all interests. Visitors can experience the Malvern Hills, the cathedral city of Worcester, woodlands of the Forest of Wyre, industrial heritage of Bromsgrove and Redditch, the market towns of Pershore, Droitwich Spa, Tenbury Wells and Evesham, the Severn, Teme and Avon valleys and the honey coloured warmth of Broadway.
Come to Worcestershire and you will discover a beautiful county offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience the very essence of England.
Malvern is famous for its hills, some of the oldest in the World (650 million years old). The Malvern Hills form a striking landmark rising above the flat Severn Plain. The name ‘Malvern’ is derived from the Celtic term for ‘bare hill’, which tells you something about the geology of the 9 mile range. Walks to the ridge can be as gentle or strenuous as you like, the views are well worth the effort though, it has been claimed that you can see 15 counties from the summit of Worcestershire Beacon.
Malvern is also famous for its water. Hydrotherapy treatment started in Malvern in the late 18th Century and became fashionable when the likes of Queen Victoria and the poet Tennyson took the waters.
Much of Malvern’s ornate architecture dates from the Victorian period. Nowadays visitors from all over the world still come to enjoy the spectacular views and pleasant walks and to take the waters that run freely from the various springs dotted around the hills.

"Fantastic Holiday Home, great location and beautiful home with wonderful views."
Wow! This holiday home was fantastic. We were visiting family in the Malvern area and shared it with my sister and her family, total of 4 adults and 4 children. The house was in a perfect location; easy walk to the town and shops and access to the Malvern hills directly via the garden. The views from the house was amazing, both from inside the house and from the couple patio areas. The kitchen was very nice and well equipped, it also had a great view so as you were cooking you could look at the window to see the valley or the Priory. Our children had a wonderful time playing in the garden, which was very nicely taken care of. The house had 2 living room, so plenty of room. Bedrooms were very nice, comfortable and ample space. I found the home owners to be very easy to work with, both from establishing the reservations to payment. If you are considering a holiday home rental in Malvern, I would strongly recommend the Hillside House!!!!
