The apartment has been designed to take full advantage of the panoramic views of the lake also offering comfort with quality furnishings throughout. The apartment is sure to give you the opportunity to discover the natural beauty of Lake Como. It is the perfect base to relax and enjoy the magnificent views or to explore the villages around the lake.

As soon as you arrive you will feel the magical atmosphere that the apartment has to offer. The apartment benefits from views of the lake in every room. Purposely designed to give spacious and open plan living area to allow holidays to be enjoyed together with bedrooms for time alone. The exceptionally large living area includes a kitchen, dining and lounge/living area. The kitchen is fully equipped with all things you would expect from your kitchen at home. The lounge/living area has quality leather seating, a 32" flat screen satellite TV, DVD player and CD player all for your entertainment within a 2-speaker system, wireless broadband also available upon request. In this fabulous apartment the full length glass doors let the outside in, which lead onto the large private panoramic balcony. Both bedrooms offer views as far as the eye can see. This is an apartment in which one could happily live all year round.

Enjoy the large private balcony/terrace to relax, eat al fresco during the day or under the stars at night, enjoy the views and listen to the sounds of nature. Wake up in the morning, and step onto the balcony and experience the breathtaking views all year round.

The stunning lake has many places of interest to visit, and lots of villages with their own character and appeal. You can choose your own itinerary. These villages can be accessed by foot, by road, by lake or by train. The ferries, boats and hydrofoils run regular services up and down the Lake, there are also frequent services between the 'triangle' of towns in the centre of the lake. Do take at least one Boat Trip, a day ticket allows you to hop on and off to visit the villages around the lake.

This apartment is ideally suited for 4, however sleeps up to 5.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area region

Lake Como, is one of the lakes found in Northern Italy located in the Lombardy region, just north of Milan and close to the Swiss and French borders. Lake Como benefits from being only a few minutes away from the border of Switzerland.

This beautiful lake is a lake of glacial origin, long and narrow and is known for its very distinctive upside down “Y” shape. It’s one of the reasons why it is so beautiful.

Lake Como is 1345 feet in depth, making it one of the deepest lakes in Europe and the third largest lake in Italy. Lake Como is mainly fed by the river Adda which enters the lake at the top (near Colico) and flows out at the bottom (Lecco). The Latin name for the lake is Lario, however it is usually called Lago di Como (literally "Lake of Como").

The apartment is located border line to Gravedona, a village on the North Western Shore of Lake Como.

Local amenities ie shops, post office, bars, restaurants are located close to the apartment.

The lakeside promenade is located approx 15 minute walk from the apartment, where you can and take a break, sit, watch the world go by over a drink, a snack or exceptionally good traditional ice cream.
Lake Como offers a wide range of outdoor sports:

Water Sports: Enjoy a variety of water sports including; scuba diving, canoeing/kayaking, water skiing, jet skiing, banana and ringo rides, sailing or ever renting a boat to take you to the nearby beautiful bays for swimming and sunbathing, to name a few..

Boat Tours/sailing: To sail and enjoy the surrounding bays and beaches why not join the daily boat tours? Most boats are located in the harbour . Local boatmen will take you along the coast for cruising and swimming on several standard excursions. No matter which excursion you decide to take you will certainly not forget.

Other adventure outdoor activities to consider are:

Paragliding, horse riding, golf, fishing, skiing, cycling (bike rentals available), walking, hiking, climbing, swimming in the lake or nearby public swimming pools, float plane/helicopter, funicular railway, Public Villas & Gardens.

Ski - Snow: Nearby ski resorts for the winter season.

There are a number of ways to travel to Gravedona, Lake Como. Whether by airplane, car, motor cycle, taxi, coach, ferry and train (or a combination). Below are some transport ideas to help you get closer to your dream holiday...

If you don't intend taking your car on holiday then hiring a car is definitely an option, pick up a car from any airport, train station or anywhere on Lake Como.

The nearest airport to fly into is Milano Bergamo, Linate and or Malpensa, in our opinion Bergamo airport is the most convenient.

The nearest train station to the apartment is Colico. If you have been traveling from the airport and are adventurous in selecting another method of transport then you need to get off at Como. Trains run from Milan to Como frequently, taking around 40 minutes. They depart from Milan's Stazione Porta Garibaldi and Stazione Centrale, and arrive at San Giovanni, Como's main station. Trains also run from Milan and Bergamo up the Eastern Shore from Lecco to Varenna and Colico and then on to Sondrio.

The nearest Boat stop is Gravedona. The ferries, boats and hydrofoils run regular services up and down the Lake, there are also frequent services between the 'triangle' of towns in the centre of the lake. Do take at least one Boat Trip, a day ticket allows you to hop on and off to visit the villages around the lake.

The apartment also benefits from being close to a bus stop (it can also be seen from the apartment), your bus stop destination is Consiglio di Rumo.
