La Rivolte is a beautiful 19th century villa with 8 provencal bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 16 guests. Available to rent as a whole during the summer months and as a B&B for the rest of the year, the villa has spectacular sea views, a heated jade green swimming pool and beautiful gardens and ancient olive groves. Set in Grasse, the world capital of perfume, it is an excellent base from which to explore the Cote d'Azur.

Grasse is a medieval town set in the foothills of the Alps overlooking the Cote d'Azur. Being set back slightly from the coast, it is always slightly cooler in the summer than the intense heat found along the coastal towns.

Grasse is a pretty medieval town located on a hill side overlooking the Bay of Cannes. It is well-known as the world capital of perfume and houses the 3 large perfumeries: Fragonard, Galimard and Molinard, all of which can be visited and all offer visitors the chance to create their own perfume. There are numerous activities available in the area - it is very popular for paragliding, hiking, sailing. There are 7 excellent golf courses in the area and there are also several excellent ski resorts not too far away.

Fly to Nice Cote d'Azur airport then car hire or bus to Grasse
Or train from Paris (Eurotunnel) to Nice or to Marseille or Cannes, then to Grasse

There are 2 living rooms, one with satellite TV (Sky package), VCR, DVD player, X-Box games console, piano and a large selection of videos and DVDs. In the second lounge there is a large library containing guidebooks, maps, children's books and novels. The kitchen/dining room is a large well-equipped room with an open fireplace and leads out onto the terrace. There is also a larder/laundry room with 2 washing machines, 2 tumble dryers, chest freezer and 2nd dishwasher and refrigerator.

The swimming pool is heated from May to October - if heating is required outside this period, there will be a heating supplement of 500 Euros.

Conditions

Arrival and departure times must be adhered to in order to ensure an efficient changeover. Arrival time from 4p.m. onwards - departure time before 10a.m.

Bed & Breakfast rates vary according to room size and season. The Jasmin master bedroom with large bathroom and private terrace is our largest double, The Rose double room with shower ensuite is the second largest and then Mimosa, Violette (both ensuite twins) and Camelia (double with bathroom) and Herb Cottage (small double annex with shower ensuite) are all 'standard' sized rooms. Prices include continental breakfast, tea and coffee making facilities in all rooms and hairdryer. B&B bookings are for 2 nights minimum.
