This charming nineteenth century Provencale farmhouse, furnished in traditional style, is situated in the district of Grasse known as Saint Antoine. The property is in a great location, an oasis of calm, whilst being close to the centre of Grasse. Excellent value for money.

The interior has the old fashioned charm of an authentic French farmhouse ans is furnished in traditional country furniture which is a little old fashioned for some tastes.

Ground Floor: kitchen with 4-ring hob and oven, fridge-freezer and an attractive old fireplace. Leading through to a dining area and a few steps up from here is the sitting room. This is a small room with comfortable seating, satellite television with English channels, DVD,CD, Wi-Fi. Shower room with shower and washing machine. Separate WC.

First floor: Large Double bedroom(160cm).

Second floor: Twin bedroom, accessible up an open-tread staircase unprotected on one side. Next to this bedroom is a small room which has a single sofa-bed which may be used if requested in advance. Bed linen and bathroom towels are provided. Air conditioning in both bedrooms.

Outside: Large south facing secluded garden delightfully laid out with many exotic trees. The pool (11m x 5.5m, alarmed) is well set and is particularly large for a private house with a surrounding spacious terrace and another terrace with out door furniture and BBQ next to the house. There is an electronic gateway and parking within the grounds.

The French Riviera - Cote d'Azur region

The house is conveniently situated for walking to local shops and supermarket. It is about 1km from the nearest restaurant, La Bastide Saint Antoine, which is famous throughout France (lovely but very expensive!). There are more everyday restaurants in the vicinity. The centre of Grasse, world famous for its perfumes, is about 2km. The town's altitude is above 300m which gives it a fresher climate than down on the coast. The old town is very interesting and full of picturesque winding streets with 17th century buildings and hidden squares with cafés and fountains. Grasse now has an excellent rail connection to the coast with a large free car park and regular trains to Cannes and along the coast. There is also a regular bus service to the neighbouring towns and picturesque villages.


Biot, Mouans Sartoux, Auribeau sur Siagne and Mougins are all within about 20 minutes. For those interested in art, there are numerous world-class galleries to visit such as the Maeght Foundation of modern art in St Paul de Vence. Also, Renoir’s museum in Cagnes-sur-Mer and the Matisse collection in Nice. There are tennis courts in Grasse and several golf courses within about 5km. This is a great area for hiking and a famous marked trail, the GR 51 known as the Balcony of the Côte d’Azur runs through the hills just outside Grasse. The coast is about 15km and there is an excellent choice of beaches at Mandelieu, Antibes, Juan-les-Pins and Cannes. Nice airport is about 22km.
